That first vid, with the match against Ken, good job keeping the pain on him. Though I do feel that he could have combo-breaker shoryu’d you plenty of times. Gotta watch out for that shit, even from high level players.
That Bison match was pretty solid, except for first round like you said lol. I do have issues with how you dealt with the U2 from him. Whenever you see him do that, jump backwards and press FP. Most of the time Bison players will want to cross you up with that ultra, so instead of just avoiding it, you can turn the missed ultra into a massive punish. But that’s just me. Think of it this way, if he sees you jump back and pulls Bison back, then its a win-win (he wastes an ultra and you don’t get put in danger).
That Viper took a beating from you pretty damned hard lol. But lets face it, she wasn’t all that good, I’ve seen and felt better. She gives me the most trouble at range. It terms of annoyance factor, and lethality, she ranks second after Abel.
Here’s my bit of advice that I give to other Gmen who will listen…follow through with those hit confirms. There were more than three opportunities during all the videos where you could have hammered it even more to your opponent if you had. Take neutral jump FP for instance, instead of landing it and doing nothing afterwards, buffer cr FP into hadou. It creates space and produces chip. Every little bit counts, and somewhere down the line it all adds up. Oh and that Ken player let you Dflip WAAAYYYY too much lol, I don’t think he has a viable answer for that yet. Thanks bro. Yeah I’ve started messing around with the mp’s A LOT now. Trying new and different things preparing for mp whoring when AE comes out. You don’t see any of that in these vids as these videos are a few months old. I appreciate the kind words man. As for another LOK game it seriously isn’t looking good but there is always hope.

I am supremely disappointed by laceysan’s decision to use Denjin. He also did not learn when it came to that Rufus player’s liberal usage of EX Messiah. AND, he gave up on a lot of opportunities to end rounds! That round where he whiffed the super after using kongo…I know by experience that unless your opponent is literally on top of you and/or is not attacking from the air, it will miss a lot of the time. He should have FADC into lp palm to end the round…Denjin? I’m sorry, but that is a no-no for me. :tdown:
I agree he missed alot of damage opportunities, like doing ex palm fadc to jumping light. thats the stupidest thing ive ever seen, and to do it in a tourny setting is unforgivable. i think if he stuck with the gouken fundimentals the set would have been in his favor. missed alot of anti air opportunities and goin for combos that wornt worth doing.
His best game of the set was at the 12 min mark. he played solid and almost got a perfect then he went downhill from there.
as for denjin i think that was the right choice for him. did u see how many times he hit with j.mp? all day with that move, so its cool that he used denjin. but lack of fundimentals was laceys downfall imo.
It’s because if you cross the guy up and go into cl.mp, usually after the cr.hp they will be knocked too far back for a palm combo.
This is something I see way too often with Gouken players. Just…bad fundamental play.
May be it’s just me, but EX Jesus kick is arguably the best EX Move in the game.
And Rule #1 with Gouken. If you are losing, never pick Denjin. Rule #2 - #5… always resort back to Rule #1.
Edit: LOL @ The Rufus’ player expression at 11:36 of Part 3… That could easily lead to a bitch slap to the face or worse though.
I really think people need to reconsider Denjin for AE at least. Gouken will actually have a few mixups so that extra stun might make a big difference. j.mp -> Denjin will help mitigate the extra scaling from backthrow somewhat as well. EX Palm -> Denjin midscreen doesn’t hurt either, though if you can execute Ex Palm dash U1 midscreen that’s obviously better.
