Tatsu is godlike, but online is ridiculous in trying to keep the stick neutral enough to not get counters, really hard against people that spam moves like cannon spike, rushes, honda headbutts etc. AEs counter change is godlike for Goukens, no one will be allowed to traverse his airspace ever again, even in laggy online. That change alone will make all games versus jumpers jumpers far more palatable, no more worrying about oddly timed AA normals, or people with c.HP beating jumpins.
I think it’ll be a solid 6-4 and not a weak one. Remember, there’s also EX hand not knocking down anymore and that weakens his oki game considerably…which is good for us. I see good days for us Gouken users in AE. 
Very nice Gouken play btw. If there’s someone who plays him similar to me, it’s you. Heavy emphasis on just zoning.
I hear that in exchange Giefs EX Hand is now safe on block, which puts him in a pretty mean situation. Aquasilk and his U2 have been making messes of people I hear. Getting hit by moves with only -1 on block is a bad place for Gouken.

Ok question for you guys! Ive been watching alot of gouken players and how they handle matchups on Sf4tube. I watched Bullcat fight mago and I noticed bullcat OS with Cmk after blocking a chicken wing. Now ive been kinda having problems with this matchup and I never thought to OS with Cmk after Chicken wing lol.
It seems to stop him from attacking jumping out and techs a grab if he attemps it. Now does anyone else do this?

cr.mk is unsafe on block. I still do it, especially vs divekick opponents. Cr.mk is just a worse Ryu cr.mp for the most part in terms of option selects. It’s not an unstoppable wall of defense, it’s a trick.
Fei Long can delay a throw to catch your cr.mk. Or he can delayed flame kick fadc. Or he can neutral jump to keep up offense. Or he can cr.mp to catch your throw tech.
Jumping back is not good defensively. I kill people for it with Seth j.mp, srk fadc, or ultra, Gouken can palm or dash ultra it, Fei Long can CW or dash flame kick. Mixing up between OS cr.mk and jump back is terrible defense in my opinion.
You should be kongo’ing chicken wing anyway.
Or Tatsuing or Ultraing it for that matter.
he’s using an option select i think… its not a very good option using c.mk for it, I’ve tried it a bit and its easily punished, still working on what is the best normal to use im just normally crouch teching right now because c.lk comes out and makes your hit box tiny, but im sure theres a better option

He’s using OS crouch tech with cr. mk. It’s a good habit, getting thrown out of low short is pretty stupid. if crouching short and forward were reversed, their’d be no real need for it.
IIRC cr. mk stuffs Fei’s over head attack too.
Edit: Yeah, in fact it will stuff pretty much any non meaty overhead, so if you are in non wake up and you crouch-tech but they try overhead you’d tag em.
I guess it’s possible to hit confirm it > special or super, but it would take some insane reaction to do it consistently.

now that i watch these, with the excuse of not playing ssf4 since basically continuum shift came out, i think i did pretty well.
rate my gouken if you will, to see how i can improve, besides against the rufus i play, i could of crouch teched with cr. mk… but other than stupid shin shos not coming out its all good.
What I do nowadays to make sure that my shin shoryuken hits correctly off the backthrow is that I input qcf x3.
