I stopped using demon flip after a hard knock down. Dwu takes away goukens wake up pressure when you have a shin sho stocked. Barely get back throws now it’s more staying on the ground now.
you know I stay airborne; hes got twice the chance now to hit ambiguious setups after hardknock, and until a lot of folks get used to dwu when THEY wakeup WE get a lot of OS Mp shit when we safejump the crossup side after dwu.
food for thought.
you were always solid on the ground anyways, id love to see what your coming up with these days…lol!
yup, 3fr jab is really great. but most of the time i do not go for the 1fr hit confirm. a bit to inconsistent for me. while cr.lp x3 - far.lk - cr.lk does almost the same dmg and leaves you in a good position if you play footsies or good position to aa extatsu jump happy opps or buffer an anti fireball u2…
edit
but as a block mix up i like cr.lp x2 on block into slightly delayed cr.lp x lp senku as a frame trap…
Yeah the jab confirm seems to really be only so good if you can go into Tatsu with confidence (that’s a big chunk of damage) or palm FADC ultra 2… or just Ultra 2 in the corner.
yeah in the corner it may be worth going for if u need the (scaled) u2 dmg. but midscreen its more of a preference, either mainting footsie position or shooting them back in zoning range (safe lp senku). tatsu is a no-go for me…
ex tatsu is now so good and applicable in so many more situations (due to 5fr) that i rarily have super anymore…
but overall i really like ultra gouken and the current state of meta being more neutral game orientated.
EX Tatsu murdered Gouken’s EXCELLENT Super. It’s like the girl you finally settle down with: maybe not as flashy but just more applicable in more situations, gives you more options, and most importantly, more available.
With the right conditioning opponents will bite on
Cr.LP >CL.mk>rfa either toe to toe or after jump ins, use it later in the match tho for best results
Far st MP links to c.lk so you can cancel to ex tat. This is very good in regards of frame trap pressure set ups… when your opponent is scared your going to throw shin sho.
