How do we have regular clean-hit moves that end up in us getting punished and you have BS like Rolento’s overhead/comboable/armor breaking move, and Decapre has an invincible for a lifetime SRK that has a ridiculously huge hitbox and active frames forever.

I just had some utter horseshit happen to me in a Makoto match. Shit had me so irritated, I just quit playing after that.
Ugly little boy had W Ultra, and was loaded while at full-screen. I chucked a MP fireball, figuring to bait out Ultra 2, and he bit… only to sail right through my plasma and nail me for my trouble.
As if Gouken didn’t already have enough problems with this matchup with the Strongs-til-you-drop rhythm game, we at least had the ability to take U2 out of the equation altogether. Now, though? I swear Capcom wants Gouken to be one of the worst characters in the game.
use lk flip from now on from for baits ,but yea hear ya tho…way sucks
I was hit out of a flip mid air with Makotos U2 on reaction, for full juggle combo. Flip is not good advice, takin. IMO anyway.

should have explained myself better. I agree actually flippin is getting you fucked off hardcore, but by baiting I meant from about 3/4 screen and farther back. If you get away with flips while they have meter and youre within 3/5 distance then they are slippin. that’s the dumb shit I do but don’t suggest it. lollololol…!

I labbed it for about an hour, what I understood prior was if your descending from gflip the arc w most potential while being at least 3/5 screen away for beating maks reaction U2,would be lk flip and you would already have to be canceling or have cancelled to dive kick befor that bitch leaves her wall hitting her above her angle of attack. U2 is bs I feel ya.
I noticed if you clear prejump frames for all jumps dj f , dj b, nj and try different normals you have great trade and or stuffing and in some cases whiffs (dj f>hp for example lets them land behind u for easy punish if your almost toe to toe mid screen, can be done dj fwd or back with hp).
Meeting it also with last active or first active frames on standing normals like lp or cr lp work occasionally as does far mk , these make good trade resets and add an element of surprise.
Most successful would a DJ hk towards her this seemed to do different things at dif ranges

he could start finishing off those cr.lp strings with ex or reg tatsus now, and Sagat is pretty bulky he could have landed a couple of them which would have turned the tide…
also @ 1:39 in the first match looks like he forgot which ultra he had when he whiffed that super…
or how about focus to mpalm or hpalm in fireball wars?

if i remember right, that wiffed super happened because he buffered a fireball, and then tried to throw a fireball too soon after.
That was actually one of the few Omega changes I ended up liking. Moving it to kick makes it ALOT less likely to get accidental super.

Either that or God awful negative edge.
I’m no Gouken expert by any means, but the lag really gets to me. PS4 version seams better now, even with all the bugs I feel the execution is better.
