Last night Gouken frustrates me a way lot…I picked Adon for my second to deal more pressure… and the first 3-4 fight I kick ass… I never expect that… my experiences are to low with this char…
So I switched back to GKN and I’ve get kicked ass… very badly… very disappointing. The same casual random Ryu guy, that I fought, perfected me. Never expected that. Of course I do mistakes and this coasts me a lot of rounds… like I get punished for a DF kick, st. MP… try to combo and there he is… the legendary SRK.I’m often late with the kongo after a Hadou.
I try to buffer enough moves, to keep a good option, if needed. I guess my spacing is still not good… and I’m to aggressive with gouken. He feels like a slow tank… and compared to other DMG he does not a good job to deal damage in my opinion. I know, that corner combos, including FADC ultra do good damage… but it feels like that a lot of other Tiers deal equal damage with less risk…
It’s so frustrating … I already have a “Zen” mentality. “Losing is your friend” “Blocking game is your friend” but… it’s so hard. I don’t feel that I deserved almost 3k BP with Gouken. Still not satisfied with the battles

It is sad, even being the pessimist, that DAN ends up in a higher tier than Gouken.
I don’t know if Dan is higher, they’re undoubtedly close. I will say that dan commands more respect than gouken though.
Hey, he’s got that nice armor break knee pressure, srk, fireball that combos, unblockable ultra, great dash, I really think his weakness is his floaty jump but he can cancel that into knee for air to air…
Don’t forget you can cr. tech with lk to avoid his knee pressure bs. It will make him whiff.

I think the U1 was the throw/grab thing and then U2(ultra fireball) popped in and he’s able to combo into that one
Are we talking about Dan? Ultra 1 is Focus Absorbable… Ultra 2 is his fireball.

I can understand Gouken being unfinished at the game’s first iteration, but now he feels stripped down and actually incomplete. Capcom’s efforts are resembling a lame joke, at this point.

Beat ViperGoomba today in our first match. He then beat me twice. He’s a quick learner, smart player.
Then I got beat by some 400pp evil ryu noob because I wasn’t taking it seriously and there was a bit of bad lag. You get to feel good about your play and then PSN sends you the army of noobs.
bullshit, what’s your tag and when did it happen? if the connection timed out mid match then that’s one thing but i dont drop on people because i don’t give a crap about losing that much. and i certainly don’t complain about rage quitters i enjoy them
it was in the 3S days and perhaps I’m wrong, but I usually have a good memory
in fact, I think the one disconnect was after I KOd with Ryu’s SA1, haha
