So because the ultra is going to be scaled off a backthrow I think j.mp (1 hit) -> ultra will be better than raw ultra now unless you have like totally full ultra.
If backthrow scales now:
j.MP -> (Half bar)Ultra = 290.1 Damage
Half bar Ultra = 274.4 Damage
j.MP -> (Full bar)Ultra = 402.1 Damage
Full bar Ultra = 402.4 Damage
So yes you’d have a point
I kind of figured they were going to nerf that a bit. It was a serious round changer of one missed tech

-Bison- has been nerfed- Praise God! Especially for the scissor kick loop nerf and damage reduction to st. hk.
-Dhalsim- match up looks pretty much the same, he got a couple of more combos but nothing major
-Adon- has gotten better, especially since EX Jaguar tooth goes through Fireballs now, like he really needed another tool to get in close. Since his wake up has been nerfed, it may possible to safe jump him and attack his reversal window much like everybody else, if that’s the case then knock his ass down and fuck em really good.
-T Hawk- EX Condor dive can get him through Fireball spamming, We will just have to block and punish Condor Dive more. He will be able to do this while jumping backwards as well, when I first read that I was like WTF? I still don’t understand why anyone has moves that can give you the option forward progression while allowing them to jump away but I digress. On the other hand if it’s blocked it’s unsafe, I’m just hoping he doesn’t bounce back as far so he can be punished harder for using it un wisely.
How do you guys think the changes to Gouken affects him in these particular match ups?
i already cant beat adon if my life depended on it so im screwed there almost erybody else i can deal wit except maby thawk but adon is the one im most worried about
Adon was always a pain, and his changes mean mostly that now he can get through fireballs fullscreen as well. The biggest change to the adon match I feel is the fact that kick counter no longer exists and we can now safely hold block and use ex tatsu to catch jagga kicks. Also Tatsu locking now makes it especially delicious Sadly he’s probably not gonna be an easy match anytime soon, but I think close HK and AE EX Tatsu will go a long way to stopping the nightmare of jagga kicks.
^ I found something against Adon while in training mode. I’m not sure if this is new but, standing Hk rules damn near every thing he does including his Jaguar kick. The only 2 threats are rising Jaguar, if he’s up close. or Jaguar tooth.
If he does the air version of Jaguar Kick, if you are close Gouken will step under per the forward movement of standing hk and Adon will whiff and you can punish him. Jaguar kick from max range can punish standing hk, other than that if he does it Gouken has priority. However Jaguar kick from max range doesn’t beat hado. If he gets really close to Gouken, close standing hk will come out and counter hit him. Much like Dudley lol.
You can kongo all non-reversal rising jaguar. And if you see him jump away to Jaguar tooth, if you jump backwards when he goes towards the wall, he will land right underneath you for a j. mk > cr. roundhouse combo, you can land other things but this has the best range. Worst Case scenario, if he jumps back and you jump back he will do a different strength Jaguar tooth and you’ll have your spacing back.
I guess in AE will will be able to punish Jaguar tooth with jumping back mk > cr. lk > palm > Super or possible FADC
Aye man, it’s more Goukens changes in AE that will improve the adon matchup, all in all our buff list creates so much good(especially if we ever figure out what the point of the increae in cl.HKs frame advantage is, though I foolishly anticipated a single frame increase like with cl.MP, the surprise fact that we can link c.HP after cl.MP might mean cl.HK has a huge frame advantage increase(though I still don’t think we have any moves with range to connect, unless they changed pushback too).

Neutral jump accomplishes mostly the same thing without giving up stage space unless Adon is in the corner. Also you get full j.hp -> s.hp xx EX Palm combo.
Almost every adon I try that aginst will land behind me, just really spammy ones tend to do it that far away, but I don’t think a good one will allow that possibility. Then again, I don’t know Adon that well, as the old theory was

Yeah she and chun have those attacks that hit on both sides, but we lack so we gotta compensate a little. I hope the new Lp palm = LP SRK then I won’t need jump away gimmicks.
It’ll be better if it’s like MP Srk, more invincibility^^ An LP Srks 2 frames of invincibility would trade/ get stuffed a lot probably, especially as I doubt LP palm is 3 frame startup(though many a Jig will be danced if it turns out to be XD)

Speaking of this, I have a question. Did Capcom actually issue a release date, and/or announce the console version/release date for AE?
I was checking around SRK and I never saw anything. Does anyone here have any info?
