Got caught going 24 over the limit

Just hired an attorney for $275. He said he knows the officer and the judge. He said he can’t gauranteed I will get off free, but he is confident that I will be happy with the results. He said I dont have to do anything on the trial date. Just show up and he will take care of the rest.

I guess that’s good news, since I don’t gotta say shit. He said I got 4 points and it takes a year for 3 points to go off my record. I was suprised, because I thought it takes a year to get rid of a point. W/e it’s just $275, I wanna see if it was worth, if not, then consider it a donation lol. Oh, I had to pay for the ticket, $169…So the total came out to be $444.

Guess the $500 I won from the casino last week was somewhat worth it. I’m still 300 short. Gonna try n win another $500 this week. Sigh… Not gonna be easy.

LOL Good luck with that. Your life sounds awesome in a soon-to-be-a-train-wreck sort of way… Fast cars, fast money, I can only assume your woman is of the fast variety as well…

edit: and I mean that in the nicest way possible

Careful, you might fastly disappear bruv.

Let me check my sheet… cops always fuckin’ with me.

I have talked to some people at work, they said I shouldn’t have hired a lawyer, because the lawyer aint gonna help me win. The least he’ll do is help reduce my points. Whatever though, money aint a problem. I just wanna experience of hiring a lawyer and to see what he can do after all the talk he spit out lmao. I think of it as a donation. I’ll win all the money I lost back in due time.

It’s not hard to win. My bro wins atleast several grands each month. I win just a little bit. Sometimes break even.

What state do you live in?

Always go to court if you have the time. Dress nice. Even if you plead not guilty and lose the case, the penalty is the same, so you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. A lot of time the cop doesn’t show and you win by default. If any identifying details on the ticket are wrong (wrong car color/license tag/etc) you can plead not guilty, point out the error and make a motion to dismiss. Hell even without negotiating a plea bargain with the cop or DA, a lot of times you can plead no contest and the judge will reduce it.

Oh wow your comprehension skills are atrocious unless that was a joke.

I would call to see if a safety course will reduce your points. Paying the ticket is no big deal compared to the long run when your insurance rates goes up and that shit adds up. I knew a guy that spent 6 hours in jail because he was speeding, that would also suck. I try not to get in trouble with the piggies that go oink oink over traffic violations. This year I finally have no citations or anything on my record and I will try to keep it that way even though I’m going to be doing a lot of motorcycle riding. There is a time and place to hurt the speed limit, and there are exceptions to the rule like during rush hour if everyone is going over the speed limit, you’d be bitch made if you and only you decide to still go the posted limit. Other than that, speeding comes with the territory and sometimes you get unlucky.

Drove back from the casino this wednesday. I was on the right side of the lane and going the speed limit. Some douchebag was going 80+mph in a 65. As soon as he passed me, there were lights behind me. In my head was…“GOD DAMN, HAHAHA”. Now, I will only speed during the day time, no more night time.

Fucking Miscreant

I don’t understand threads like this if it is that important to you stop being a cheap skate and see a lawyer. Someone who is actually qualified to tell you where you stand.

…Having tinted windows is a crime?

In some states, yes. Since I live in Missouri I can have up to 35% tinted and as long as I’m living in that state, no matter where I go, I can’t get busted for it. Some states have laws for more/less tint or none at all.

Are you black??

Surprised nobody asked this. haha

He said he got a ticket, not that he got beaten and arrested…

Hold the phones everyone. So you’re saying if he doesn’t speed then he won’t get any points? Let me write that down. That’s some of the best advice I’ve seen since “if you don’t want a hangover, don’t drink”.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep you guys updated, those are interested of course. I actually had two court trials. I got away with one trial, just pay fine, no points. I’m waiting for a court date for this 24 mph over the limit. I think it takes about 2 months+ for them to give me a date. Everything is all ready to go, lawyer is paid so we’ll see how things will go. My guess is, I’ll have points reduced or if I’m unlucky then the $275 I coughed out was a waste. I’m trying to win back $500 at a casino, but so far, win only $120… got $380 left to go… Until then, I just gotta stay low and not speed.
