Good teams for Trish?

No, you start that sequence after any confirm. You can do that off of dive kick, Jump H, Jump S, whatever. Also works after relaunch as in:

Divekick, M, H, cr.H, S, j.m, divekick, L+Vergil, M, H, Round Trip, S…etc

Hello all. New to this forum and Ive been experimenting with some Trish teams. Right now, the Trish team im using is

Trish (Peakaboo)
Nova (Centurion Rush)
Dormammu (Dark Hole)

Is this an ok team? I like Trish/Nova synergy and Nova is actually my best character so I dot really want to change those two. I put Dorm as anchor because the way Ive been playing Trish, she seems to be building a lot of meter and I wanted an anchor character that has a good amount of life (at least 1,000,000), and would use the holy hell out of all the meter Trish is building for me. Nova really isnt a meter hog so Dorm just seemed to fit. However, my Dorm isnt as strong as id like him to be. I play Vergil also, but I use him on at least two of my other experimental teams and he has no life. What do you guys think?

Why don’t you just abuse the meter with Dorm at second? Nova hits like a grown ass man and I’ve seen many XF3 comebacks with him so Anchor seems like his best position on your team. Dorm seems to DHC pretty well from Trish too.

Brand new to Trish and thinking about a Trish(Peakaboo)/Deadpool(OTG)/Vergil(Rapid Slash) team. Anyone have thoughts on using both assists in a combo to get her some extra damage. Any help or other tech/thoughts on the team appreciated.

I think the Rapid Slash will push them too far across the screen to continue comboing (could be wrong on that.) However if you’re close enough to a corner you could probably do something like this:

jH, divekick, cL, cM, sH, S, (forward jump) jM, divekick, Hopscotch, air dash, jM, jH, (land) (call Rapid Slash), sH, cH,Round Trip, dash forward, S, jS (Round Trip hits on return), jS, (call Deadpool OTG) Round Trip, S, jS, (Round Trip hits on return), jS, TK Hopscotch (d, db, b, up+L), Air Max Voltage.

Despite how lengthy that looked, you’re probably only looking at 900k damage, which is good enough to kill a decent number of the good characters I guess. Leaving Vergil out of the combo and doing a slight variation of it with Deadpool will be easier and lose only about 100k. Construction wise I’ve never thought about this team but it seems decent to me. That said, unless you’re heart is set on Deadpool and Vergil, I think there are other characters whose assists will do the same things, only better. Wesker’s OTG assist would probably be a better fit just because Wesker is overall better than Deadpool on point and Trish/Wesker works well for both characters since he gets good use out of Peekaboo assist and a Trish/Wesker THC nets solid damage. Someone else will have to advise you on Vergil, but as far as lockdown properties for assists, you’re not going to find a better one than Cold Star. It’s a team combo that I rarely hear talked about, but I do believe that Trish is devestating with Amaterasu’s Cold Star. Her low damage output becomes less of a factor when she has the opportunity to open her opponent up repeatedly with ease. Also, Ammy is definately not as good a character/anchor as Vergil but she is still arguably one of the best anchors in the game and she has Veil of Mist to really throw a wrench into her opponents X-Factor plans.

Look to the earlier discussion about Trish/Wesker/Vergil with Shin Oni. You can use both assists in or near the corner by calling Rapid Slash after relaunch. Deadpool’s assist will function the same as Wesker’s, just make sure to adjust for the inferior spacing and tighter timing of Katanarama. The team works in any order, but note that having Vergil second allows you to combo into swords in the corner, and you can get a whole lot of damage off of that, get more meter at the end of it and have the option for burning a third meter for a kill if necessary. Vergil and Trish also DHC back and forth well into each other, which gives them superior TAC synergy.

HAZmat uses Trish/Ammy. They’re a fantastic combination for several reasons. I suggest people look at his Youtube and stream archives for some solid info on that team.

Found some fun stuff with this team with the order I’m using.

From midscreen divekick with one meter stocked: Any air attack, (land)L+Shopping cart, M, Round Trip as a starter. Dash up as the RT hits, combo into launch, j.M, Divekick, LMHS, Air Series of your choice, TAC into Vergil, MMH, Hammer, OTG, Maximum Vergil, DHC Round Harvest, Raw Tag Frank, Snap picture. The shopping cart causes the Round Trip to combo from M. If you go into H, it won’t combo. This option is if you only have exactly one bar, since the early Shopping Cart series builds more meter than her BnB. Now any touch will guaranteed(barring TAC counter) lead to lvl 4. Frank no matter where it happens on screen. Corner is still ideal, but the midscreen is covered now.

I’m sure Shin knows, but for others looking to team up Frank and Trish, the exact input I found for her instant overhead pressure is L+Shopping Cart, M(or cr.M), j.L(instant overhead), Divekick.

I wanted to keep Vergil second because I really like the DHC synergy between him and Trish back and forth.

Another bonus with this team is if you have two meters and land a hit with Frank, his Tools of Destruction DHC into Devil Trigger or Round Harvest works for leveling, so no matter which way this team is arranged, Frank can get his. The more I play this team, the more I like it. Only thing missing is an unblockable with Vergil.

Here’s a question. I’ve been struggling to form a Jill team for a while now. Doesn’t have to be competitively viable, since it’s just for fun. I started out with Jill/Ammy being mainstays and was looking for a third character that I don’t already play and adds some different playstyle to the team, so I came to trish.

I’m still figuring out whether to run Jill/Trish/Ammy or Trish/Jill/Ammy but what I really want to know, is if anyone has experimented with Wallbounces at all. I was thinking of running Jill with Arrow kick assist and I was wondering if adding a wallbounce to Trish’s combo’s help out with her otherwise not too remarkable damage output (I’m choosing my words carefully here since I haven’t really looked into advanced maximized combo potential yet).

hm my post got eaten but I use trish Jill akuma and arrow kick hasn’t helped me much in combos. i’ts like the only time u can do it is after the divekick before the relaunch.

Yeah, Arrow Kick won’t help Trish’s combos that much. I think Cartwheel should do it. Or you can keep Arrow Kick and just abuse it in the neutral.

Please help a n00b out with a character team crisis. Have this game for months and I still haven’t decided on a team. I want to pick characters I like, but have some good synergy or at least an OTG assist for Trish.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but what are these teams like:

-Wolverine/Trish/Dante
-Wolverine/Trish/Wesker
-Trish/Wesker/Strider (Dante, Trish & Strider are the characters that interest me the most, but I don’t know how to play Dante properly yet and I’m worried about Trish and Strider’s low HP)
-Trish/Wesker/Vergil (Or should I put Wesker as anchor?)

I feel like these are good choices for a Trish team if you’re still feeling out the game. And yet… those are both really cheap teams, potentially. Haha. If you’re familiar with her unblockable setups with low-hitting assists, you’ll go far with either one.

Trish y/Dormammu a/Doctor Doom b is a team I’m looking at right now. Might be one of the cheapest keepaway teams possible, plus the alternate formation of Trish b/Dorm/Doom a is pretty good too.

Yup. Trish and Dorm are great together. Add Doc Doom to the mix and damn that’s a scary and annoying ass team

Wolverine has some fun and easy combos and I like the DHC from Fatal Claw to Round Harvest, but he has awful assists and I have trouble with keepaway teams. Don’t know if Trish and Wesker’s assists can help him out. I’m relying on Wesker’s OTG assist at the moment, because I’m still dropping Trish combos.

I was thinking of something like this for the team:
Wolverine on point. No need to worry about his mediocre assist. Wesker’s assist helps him combo off throws. Peekaboo is good for mixups, but I think Low Voltage would be best just to help him get in. The real beauty of the team would be the ability to spend two bars on an unblockable reset to kill higher health characters, especially if you are just finishing a throw combo and want to avoid the scaling.
Basically, you’d finish the combo with Wolverine’s air launcher, land, Berserker Charge, DHC into Round Harvest, tag Wolverine back in, call the Wesker assist and hit with a high attack (preferably dive kick) to guard break. Even if they take the hit to avoid the extra damage, you can super jump into the dive kick to continue a combo.
And FWIW, Wesker’s assist not only allows for easier Trish combos, once you get a hang of comboing with her you can use the assist and Round Trip for cool/high damage combos.
It seems like a really godlike team setup all things considered.

Oh dude you want fun and annoying? Try Strange (Eye of Agamotto), Magneto (EM Disrupt), Doom (Hidden Missiles). I swear I mess with that team for fun sometimes. It rivals the MorriDoom team Chris G uses. Seriously you want someone to literally go into a rage, play that.

I don’t play Strange or Mags, but man if you know someone that plays that I would gladly enter a team tournament with them lol

I never tried Katanarama with Trish (let alone deadpool with Trish) but any OTG helps for Trish.

As for rapid slash, it’s good for pushing them out obviously. But in combo, I usually tack it on at the end with air max voltage. But only in the corner otherwise rapid slash will throw them out of max voltage. Nice extra damage tacked on. I only do this because I don’t have an otg assist to keep up the combo after Trish’s standard BnB.

outside of that, just let Rapid slash push them out or get the hit confirm for you from full/mid screen.
