Good teams for Trish?

I just put together a team of Trish/Task/Skrull and it seems to be doing OK for me. Trish’s traps and Taskmaster’s arrows have good synergy for zoning, and they can DHC their respective projectile hypers into each other pretty easily.

EDIT: I just changed it to Trish/Task/Wesker but the above statement is still true. I really like this team because Wesker’s OTG gun really helps Trish with setting up unblockables and extending combos.

Hi guys i just bought this game yesterday, just wanna know who goes well with Trish and Doom, if you can recommend me some not so overused characters it would be better.

Define overused characters.

I really don’t want to use Dante, Vergil, Magneto or any too overused char but what about X-23 and Cap. America? they are good with Trish and Doom? coz i really like those 2 chars.

X-23 isn’t too terrible with Trish nor is Cap, but I wouldn’t call it the best synergy ever. If you really want to use them, then use them. Do what you have to do.

I was looking to make a zoning team centered around trish to fight off the morrigan/doom squad. I really couldn’t think of any characters that could really do well that have good synergy with trish so any imput would be great.

Morrigan zoning beats Trish zoning quite freely. Against Morri/Doom you need to rush her down when she’s not in astral vision and run away to the top corner of the screen when she starts the bullet hell.

I run,…trish.doom,ammy…all B assists what you guys think of a chacnge of assit for my assit are fine…i was thinking of plasma beam with doom

i finally played the viper/strider matchup again and this time, i used trish/akuma instead of trish/sentinel.

i did much better, since i can actually use my assist wheres if i use sentinel, he’ll usually gets blown up by seismic hammers and trish gets pinned down with vajra.

fight fire with fire. seeing how vajra is one of the best anti trish assist and tatsu is probably the best anti viper assist.

i wonder can if franks shopping cart can at least get some of the same mileage as tatsu assist. not being able to nullify projectiles sorta hurts tho.

Morri on point, Trish with Peekaboo assist, and Doom woth Missiles.

It would be more fun if my Doom were viable.

I tend to sub Hawkeye, and cope.

Really? That’s funny, I use Trish on point :stuck_out_tongue: and my Doom isn’t top notch either, but he gets the job done with corner loops and zoning haha.

I tend to land my Trish BnB then DHC into Astral Vision for free fireball spam :slight_smile:

Trish on point is WAAAY better. She can run around and lay traps all over the screen while calling harmonizer. When you have 5 meters, Morrigan can bullet hell for practically the rest of the game lol.

Been practicing up some Trish/Vergil/Wesker and Trish/Vergil/Frank

I like both teams a lot. Neither of them are great for zoning with Trish, but each team has its obvious strengths. TVW has 3 great anchor characters, which is awesome in this game. I really like the corner combo potential of the first team. Two Round Trip relaunches into Max Voltage DHC into swords is nice, or I have the option to OTG into Round Harvest from Wesker, then continue into air combos or pretty much whatever you want. Any Vergil combo into Maximum Vergil to Round Harvest, Raw tag back into Vergil, high teleport and helmet breaker into whatever is good for 900k minimum. Vergil is already a beast, but Wesker adds to his shenanigans.

I have next to nothing for Wesker, lol. Rapid slash gives him extra combo off of his OTG. Gunshot/Rapid slash/teleport/command grab is a cute shenanigan if the opponent is staying still. Any knowledge on his synergy with the other two would be great.

TVF can get Frank to level 4 off of any hit, pretty much, and Frank assist works well with both characters. If Frank is leveled up, this is another team with three strong anchor chracters. Both fun teams so far. Aside from messing with Raccoon, this is what I’m sticking with. I like all of the characters and it suits my gameplay. Both teams also switch order pretty effectively. Seems kinda weak to serious zoning like Doom/Dorm or Doom/Soulfist. That’s why I’m messing around with the rodent.

how are you getting 2 round trip extensions, 1 for wesker, how does vergil help extend it?

I actually play both of these teams (With Trish/Frank/Vergil being my main now) and they work well for Trish. While I prefer Trish/Wesker/Vergil (or Vergil/Trish/Wesker) The team can really do in any order as you said. Trish on point means Round Harvest unblockables, Wesker on point means he gets 2 decent assist to help extend his OTG game or reset game. Vergil on point means the same with Wesker. (and IMO, kill a character, throw on DT, put him in the back.) In hindsight, it’s a good team. It doesn’t do much for covering Trish in the air or opening people up though so she’s either getting a hit to do good damage on high health characters or gets hit and dies.

as for Trish/Frank/Vergil, this team IMO is silly. Frank levels up off all the DMC characters easily and doesn’t matter which order you put it in. I personally prefer frank second so he can get leveled up and stay on point if he feel I want him there. (Frank gets level 5 off a clean hit from Trish for 2 bars. Kills lower health characters in the process… IIRC he also does get 5 from Vergil but you need at least 2 bars.) This team does get really lamed out by Dorm/lame assist (such as sentinel or Doom missiles.) It’s damn near impossible for frank (even at level 4 minimum.) But this team isn’t so bad against Morridoom nonsense. (mainly for Trish flight, Frank cart super going through projectiles, Vergil swords). It’s ALOT easier with Trish alive. Smart play is required with Vergil swords. Frank needs to be at level 3 minimum to stand some chance (and even then it’s still hard.)

More than likely off Rapid Slash early in the combo (there’s a vid somewhere someone posted up showing a extention off it.)

L+assist, M, H, Roundtrip, (Rapid Slash hits), S. From there you finish the sequence as you would with any OTG assist. Then call Wesker and run it again. Max damage I’m getting before super is about 538k. Voltage into Sword shenanigans gets it into ToD territory and you build over a bar doing the sequence, so you’re guaranteed at least one super and often two. Works off of any jump in or from the ground, so there is a little versatility to it.

Most importantly, it looks cool.

How does Frank get Level 5 off of two bars Trish when she starts the combo? There’s a way to do that w/o using TAC?

And yeah, you’re spot on with the strengths/weaknesses of both teams. They’re both a lot of fun. TFV/TVF is the strongest, just because Frank has such a good chance of leveling up to Super Frank, and he blows up more characters than Wesker. The first team really relies on you landing a hit from solid play or a Rapid Slash confirm, but it’s so nice having three really cheap XF3 options, lol. I’m gonna practice up and try to learn all of the tech for both teams, since there is a lot of room for imagination with them.

whoops sorry I forgot to add the TAC nonsense. But even then, TAC is complete bullshit in the guess department and 8/10 times I do TAC no one ever guesses right. (seeing everyone assumes down for the meter.)

Even though Ideally going down is the “better choice”, Frank will still get min 4 off 1 bar. (Honestly he might still get 5 off 1 bar IIRC. I haven’t really been playing lately and when I usually do the TAC, I already have a min of 2 bars to kill the character and get lvl 5.)

EDIT: Also, one thing I like about Trish/Frank/Vergil, all 3 do well with mixing up the incoming character with at least one of them backing up with an assist.

I assume corner only. On block, they should be in block stun and allow you to tri dash L mixup after the stun. Seems like you’d need to throw a few L’s or a deep dive kick to make sure you don’t get happy birthday’d though. I wouldn’t throw out L+assist out of nowhere.
