Well fams I’m off to meet with the crew so we can make the long drive to final round. thankfully i will be entertaining everyone on the way there with my crazy ass conversations so we should be good. I’m also bringing my portable dvd player with some movies to keep us further entertained,oh and some porn for nutsaks and maxninja who will be riding in the back seat together.

Per fighting game drama: The problem is the “community” allows for this to occur. Marn is well known for being, well, “Marn” and after ALL the NUMEROUS incidents with him being the way it is I am SHOCKED that he is allowed to be a part of all this and more deserving people are not, but that’s how it is. Look at Jersey Shore. People like watching stupidity. People like watching train wrecks. Without all the “drama” and “hype” and “sponsorship” we wouldn’t have this wonderfully juvenile fighting game community.
The fact is EVERYWHERE you go MOST scenes are like this because of what they see on streams and how they have excuses for EVERYTHING and talk down to people and just act like they know everything about everything. I am embarrassed for some scenes…the “top” players in our scenes don’t exactly act like god’s gift and have groupies like in other scenes…heck, when I went back to my home state of Florida I was almost shocked at how ridiculous some of the attitudes have become based on people jumping on other players…
Per old school “Watson” mentality…it’s really like Yankees vs Red Sox, Giants vs Jets, etc…the “rivalry” was created because SoCal hated NorCal…that was it…I mean, Cali had always had that issue because they were deemed with the “best” players in the country…it is still a hotbed but everyone catches up now because of the internet so Cali just has a better group of “in person” play with demographics; a Japanese quality of better players per square mile, but not necessarily the best, point being is that was the norm there, they hated outsiders and acted stand offish. Whether people like it or not, sometimes even new blood feels that way about some SF4 veterans we have, even if the players don’t realize it or not…
The only people to blame for the Marn thing are the guys that continually ALLOW him to be a part of this. I’m just thankful we really don’t have anything like that in Nashville because if we do it gets squashed pretty quickly…everyone is very respectful of each other and we try to make each better players and act like adults. Sure you want to have fun and let loose but objectifying women like that is just rantings of “kid”, nothing more…people have known this forever but he keeps getting chances and hype because as always, people LOVE drama.
Reminds me of that Jersey Shore commercial on MTV with the chick that goes “MERP MERP MERP MERP” and all I can think of is Marn and everyone “watching” Jersey Shore.
