Lol maybe, but I think jas is great at being hilarious without being offensive in regards to race, gender etc. or at least that’s how I see it. I think the biggest issue with the Marn incident was that the “fighting game community” incident on cross assualt was still fresh and to make light of it was kind of insensitive.

But $5 is a bit much for one character. And considering I’ve been to tourneys where they didn’t have Shuma and Jill on the set-ups and I mained Shuma so my main team was cut down. I’ve been playing Tira because Dampierre wasn’t available for everybody and to have as a secondary once he was out. But if he, as a single character, is $5, nobody’s going to download him.
How was I supposed to know Dampierre, who has been in a previous Soul Calibur game, would be DLC, while Ezio who has nothing to do with Namco let alone Soul Calibur, would be unlocked and available from the start?

It’s difficult to listen to, not only because it’s offensive, but because it’s embarrassing for the community, and because it’s just fucking unfunny. This was a show intended to SHOWCASE the FGC for fuck’s sake. They should have gotten Aris the Fuck Out. He may be a cool guy, but he doesn’t need to be representing for us in this way.
Common objections are:
- “It’s part of the scene.” Naw, listen to this video. Cameras in the bathroom? Smell where I sit? How are your thighs? 34D? Is your boyfriend watching? Take off your shirt? I’m gonna say your boyfriends name while I’m smelling you? Good god. This is not part of the scene.
- “She’s giggling.” Man, she’s fucking uncomfortable. Being the “only” of something (in this case the only girl in a male-dominated environment) is uncomfortable, not to mention being filmed for the public and under pressure, she obviously didn’t know how to deal with it.
- “We don’t want censorship.” C’mon! Let’s represent ourselves honestly. This ain’t “colorful”. This is ugly and stupid, and it shouldn’t be tolerated in any environment, let alone one that’s supposed to SHOWCASE the FGC.
Cale, I fully support what you are saying and share the same belief. I also feel that this is just another reason that trash talk is unacceptable in the FGC. Things go to far and it does not take much for it to get there. I know people say it is “HYPE” and “SALTINESS” but to me it is all the same shit. Be respectful to your opponent and also be respectful to yourself. Dont make yourself look like and ass. My big pet peeve is sportsmanship and I know I get spoiled in this community because everyone here is very upstanding people and respectful during matches or atleast the large percentage is. I say leave the trash talk on the online ranked and come to the tourney with a bit of sportsmanship.

Whoever thought getting putting Aris in front of an audience in a situation like that was a good idea is a fucking idiot. Him acting like that is nothing new. Listen to a single episode of avoiding the puddle or watch the Evo shit with him and Kayo police its all the proof you need he is a fucktard. As for my quick thoughts on the sexual harassment situation
1: He is lucky the girl he harassed is as laid back as she is
2: Its obvious harassment and very difficult to listen to
3: People who claim her nervous giggling was somehow her way of being ok with it should be sterilized to make sure their genes dont contaminate the pool moving forward
4: There is a middle ground the FGC should be able to compromise on. Obviously shit like this and the fake beef with Mike Ross and Jago needs to go as it makes the community look stupid. The old school mentality of were gonna be dicks to everyone until they happen to get better at insert game here as a way of proving they are worthy of the community also needs to go too and it can take Mike Watson and any of the others who feel that way with it. That being said there is room for hype, salt, rivalries ect. Some of that stuff drives people to get better and has made for some amazing moments in the communities history. Completely sterilizing things isn’t good either.
