Not really. Our Schedules never line up. When Jio and Trung have fightnight it is always super late so I can never make it. I have to be up before 6am so I will not go to 11pm fight nights, It is not fair to my students or my assistance. Atron also does not live in Knoxville but In Lenoir City. Thomas quit SFIV atleast that is what he told me the last time we spoke. So honestly Josh really only has Aaron.
To be fair our state is huge. The mileage from city to city is not a simple drive. Knoxville is 3 hours from Nashville who is 3 hours from Memphis. This is not like New York or New Jersey. Im not even going to start the job, family, money excuses because when anyone brings that up everyone looks down on them. Alot of us are not well to do and also have a lot going on. To be honest the most I can make in one months time from just my job is 1k before taxes( I also only get paid once a month). After paying my wife’s tuition, the babysitter for my child, and the countless other bills it does not leave me with a lot of wiggle room. I do teach on the side also. Late nights just do not work for me anymore like they used to. Trust me I love coming to tourneys and playing at the arcade but I can only make it once every two to three months. I buy alot of stuff because I do simple mod work on older gaming consoles and I also have a fair amount of classic gem games as a rainy day fund if I ever need to splurge on something but that will not last me forever. I only have a limited number of Earthbound carts, Megaman X3, and etc…laying around. I feel that when I am able to become a full time teacher and have a better income, I will be able to do more but as of right now, I play online and I come to the tourneys that I can.
Yeah TN is long. Would like to see more East TN events. I suggested hosting in Cookeville a while back to make it easier for MidTN and EastTN to meet, but no-one was interested. The offer still stands, at any rate.
Trippfan, that wasn’t directed at you, I think it’s more like…we never see Atron at any tournament ever and we never see Massive Cosby at any tournament ever. If they have time to play that much, they have time to come and play in person let alone tournaments…same goes for Moses…I mean, Moses (welltallx) didn’t even KNOW when people came here to play…that doesn’t make sense to me…I know Atron lives pretty far and I think he manages a Gatti’s and has a family (same goes for KrazeeJL situation) and it is what it is, if they can’t come out, they can’t come out, but it would be nice once in awhile, lol…
i was not taking it as meaning me but I was just saying that the Knox scene is messed up. Atron had tried to get us to have fight nights at his work but that fell through because of the crazy schedules that Jio and Trung run. Atron didnt even make it to K.i.T.,(even though this year was very short notice) it is just 15-20 mins from Lenoir City. I just wish that people in the knoxville area would get out of there caves and seek out local players. There has to be more than 3-4 players we do have.

I think this really should be done as CLOSE to Final Round as possible and NO ONE should use 360 at all that week or else your timing will be all screwed up…dead serious on this if you want to do well at Final Round…I don’t even know the dates for Final Round myself, what are they, weekend of March 4th?
