I on the other hand never really had anyone around me to get good with, but still bought and played the hell out of every single game. The times I did play with other people was just the whole “beat your friends so bad they dont want to play anymore” type deal. Im so fucking glad I’ll finally have a chance to play some good people and maybe GET good at the game I love.

Snowtemkin rises! Guilty Gear is the game that got me into competitive play to begin with. When Bishop and Lil Majin thoroughly whooped my ass in the Tiger Den and I decided “I wanna play like that”. Then LOOOOOOONG ass sets with Mike at his dorm as Majin trained us along with a few other guys. My ascension from the Fraccion to the Espada and my race to the top five. OH GOD the Ranking Matches!!! Going back and forth with AzurePhoenix. I’ve played against May more than any other character. Now as long as the netcode is good, we get to unleash hell on the Easy Mode Champions of this generation!!!
I was going to come down to the arcade sometime between the 26th and 29th to play a ton of matches against Patrick in Marvel (on PS3). I’m supposed to be borrowing a PS3 from a friend, but he’s been working nonstop.

He hasn’t really played on PSN since the original SF4 (he said it is about 17,000 for vanilla SF4). Don’t forget AE for PC. He has it too. LOL!! I have said this before but I don’t know what else to do to help the East TN scene grow. We invited people over (Jeremy, Aaron, Thomas, Graham and Andrew were the only ones to come and Trung for Marvel). Anyone should know that I will bring Josh pretty much anywhere to play. We would have come to Gattis but no one ever posted anything else about it. We would come to Cookeville too. I can’t promise it would be every week but we would try to make it as often as possible. Jeremy is right, Thomas has pretty much quit SF. Jeremy and Aaron are busy with work and school so Josh has no one and I don’t know how to change that.

Considering Josh has had NO practice for almost a month now I think this is an awesome idea. We will be there whenever. I prefer before Thursday (the weekend before would be awesome) but if Thursday is what works for everyone else then we will be there then. Just let me know.

Gabe, still eww at SF x T but do what you gotta do. As for GGXXAC Plus for PSN/XBLA, my immediate thought wasn’t that of joy. It was, “ok please god just give the game a netcode. But don’t touch ANYTHING else.” Like…don’t even try to balance Kliff and Justice for tournament play or redo any EX characters. Just make it a straight up port from console AC Plus. I can’t sleep easy for fear of the addition of some special “groove” /control scheme for beginners, or new mechanic. Tbh, I’m pretty paranoid about it. So I kinda got a half-smile. My second thought was that this fucks up my SSX isolation hermit mode.
OG Memphis/Tenkai brotheren, the revival is near. The dexterity of Millia combos might actually make Phil thin again. And Tad may have a different hairstyle every tourney again. Rukus is probably the most excited of all. I wouldn’t doubt that his last will and testament declares that he be buried with a AC setup.And shades. Wow though, it might really be a reunion of sorts when they release it. Dudes coming out the woodwork and niggas popping out of the ground like Sektor and shit. Greasy pads. Also, I’m reminded of something. Alot of you guys may not have known except for our immediate group, but Twin aka Terrance Harris(Xploit Neo) passed away a few weeks ago. He loved GG and was a Jam player. Very polite and mad chill. Some of you dudes may have met him and his twin brother Torrance(Deity Sovereign). Very few people could tell them apart without looking at the characters they used lol. They played the Capcom games too and were VERY solid in them. But stopped coming out for the newer ones once Terrance started getting sick. True masters of the dry bread style. You better fucking believe it.
I haven’t reflected on it much because I heard he passed the day after my uncle died. But the news of this GG shit is kinda bittersweet. He would’ve been estatic. Hopefully Torrance comes back around in time too.

This is saddening news. I remember him and I discussing his chemotherapy at Hastings. That was the last time i saw him. I can also clearly remember the first time I met him. He put me out of that tournament at the Mexican restaurant Orel hosted a few years back. Terrance reached the grand finals where he eventually lost to Terelle.
I hope he’s somewhere playing conservatively, holding down-back, and punishing mistakes in a better place.
