I dunno, I actually liked the human perspective. It’s not often that the scope destruction is shown really. I will give you that Cranston’s son was a lame character. AT LEAST he killed all the MUTOS in that once scene. I thought the music fit the scenes, if anything the sounds mostly drowned out the music.
The human perspective was fine for 3/4 of the movie, I was just hoping the finale would be all Godzilla, and the humans would be doing their thing in the background.
Yeh the were parts of the score that were really well put together, but then there were some really in your face bits like someone screaming YOU SHOULD BE FEELING THIS RIGHT NOW!!! ARE YOU FEELING IT!?!
The only human perspective needed was the very end of the movie, that beautiful shot were Zilla wakes up, the people celebrate him, the wide shot shows frantic human activitiy (dat busy highway) then Zilla screams outta my way bitch, and maybe murks maybe another 100 people as he bulldozes it to shit and swims off peacefully ever after.
Don’t generalize things only you feel. To say no one wants to see Mothra is a load of shit as she’s a fan favorite Kaiju.
That’s not the point was getting at. It’s standard for this type of movies for the archnemesis to be used first but often not the most powerful foe for that character. Magneto isn’t who you will use as a villain again when your trying to rise the stakes for the follow up. Many of these X-Men sequels actually have Magneto team with his foes to take on the larger threat.
You put Joker on too high a pastel. On the larger scale of things Ra’s is a bigger threat as his threat is global and commands a secret society of assassins and regularly hands Batman his ass. What Joker has over him is popularity power, killing a Robin and crippling Batgirl.
My biggest problem wanting to introduce Ghidorah, a Kaiju that’s for all intents and purposes a demi god as the second villain. He’s too powerful to be use this soon into the series. You want to skip all the Koopa kids and head straight for Bowser.
Honestly I think King Ghidorah should be in the last movie of the Legendary Era or somewhere in the middle depending how long they want this Godzilla to go on for.
The Muta couple were about to kill of Godzilla before kickass torches the eggs, These Mutas dont seem like shit compared to the old roster so assigning ‘power levels’ might not be too appropiate.
Best enemies would be Gigan or Ghidorah just for the outer space aspect, shit have them both in it and throw in one of Zillas old allies to even the odds. Sequel needs more monster focus and bad ass enemies.
I liked them. They actually used their EMP attack offensively unlike that one dude from Pacific Rim who did it once and then forgot he had it. Not ever Kaiju has to have special powers or shoot beams to be a fan favorite look at Rodan.
It was a two on one. In the cocktease battles Godzilla was able to kick their asses no problem. The male had to flee in their solo battle and Male had to come to the Females recuse after Godzilla choke slammed on the bitch.
They were pretty cool, I was thinking they were like the mofo from cloverfield but i was left wondering, “why these niggas got EMP attacks? were the stone age dudes hiding the playstations?”
EMP seemed like something coincidental to me purely because it wasnt used in an offensive capacity vs godzilla, just instead it was just some bullshit plot device.
Should have gave them some more atomic based powers instead of 1 that served to let them get away from human tracking or just to put kickass in danger from time to time.
It wasn’t coincidental. Their EMP abilities comes from their radiation absorbing. The shockwave their stomping causes the EMP bursts. This was explained in the movie
Mothra looks and acts nothing like MUTO. Hell, male MUTO barely flew. Mothra starts off as Caterpillar that will get pwnd, then becomes Mothra, and pwnz Godzilla.
Umm, they’ve only established 2 dead MUTO’s and 1 Godzilla. And teased Mothra. Logic states they need to ACTUALLY establish there are other giant kaiju roaming around, aka Monster Island (also giving Godzilla a base of operations).
Judging by how much you just want Ghidorah here and done as fast as possible, I’m gonna guess you’re a two pump chump in bed. Learn patience
LOL @ changing the thread title to codify these sissy-ass pansies crying about spoilers.
Hey, there’s a new Transformers movie coming out-- Optimus Prime will get his shit pushed in, bounce back and ride a Dinobot like Yoshi. There will be lots of explosions and slow motion 360-degree camera pans of Mark Wahlberg.
On a related note, Shinomura was actually like Hedorah and Destoroyah in that it’s comprised of millions of single celled organism that form into a single kaiju. Might be an interesting place for which to bring other kaiju, including those two, back.
I picked up the 24 inch Godzilla from Jakks Pacific from Kmart for $33.99. Godzilla stuff is on sale there too and the starting prices are cheaper than TRU.
And these toys aren’t garbage. They do their job as mass market kids toys. If you want a higher quality figure NECA has there’s out and in the fall SH Monsterarts will have there’s. So between those two you’ll get a high quality Godzilla figure.
The 24incher is just great. If you buy it under $50 it’s worth it. It’s so big and stable. You buy it for that imposing size and nice sculpt. There are joint cuts at the jaw, neck, shoulders, wrists, thighs, ankles, and the tail has a special joint to make it swing back and forth.
