Name of the movie is Godzilla, not crying soldier trying to get back to his family and inadvertly running into mishap every step on the way, I honest kept getting flashbacks to watching 2012. Godzilla starts fighting monsters, lets cut away to something bullshit!
Really disappointed but at least they nailed the look and the atomic breath, movie barely deserves a 5/10 though.

We’ve already established that there are Monsters on Earth. Remember how they spoke about how the Kaijus existed on the planet when radiation levels were ridiculously high. This makes it 100% viable that their are already going to be more Kaijus living on this planet currently, just that they are dormant. Not to mention we don’t have to canonically be accurate and say that King Ghidorah has to be from outer space. He can simply be another Kaiju that existed on the planet but is on the Godzilla Tier Level.
I have no problems with that so long as they carry the essence of the Kaijus properly. It can be perfectly made to introduce King Ghidorah & doesn’t need to take an intricate storyline to introduce him in the next movie installment & I sure as hell would rather have him then some other nonsense like Mothra that so many people have ranted about.
The only way to save the sequel would be to have Godzuki star in it, draped in the stars and stripes ala Transformers and work with an elite team of NSA who fuck people up who torrent shit from pirate bay. When Godzuki isnt saving the world from the tyranny of online piracy, he should be goofing around shitting on McDonalds etc. Then have a 5 min finale where Godzilla shows up to body the lvl5 kaiju of the week.
It’s still too early for a Ghidorah level monster to appear. Gonna to get to the Anguirus and Mothra level monsters first. Introducing the end boss so soon won’t leave much direction to go with in the films following it.

But there are far too many of these kinds of people, who are actually a vast minority when you look at reviews and how successful the movie has been since opening day, for me to correct or respond to every time they come back from a movie that was entirely different than what they expected.
Too many people with silly reviews and responses because they went into one kind of movie expecting another.
They went into a Godzilla movie expecting Pacific Rim 2.
You should indeed stfu. Ofc its going to be successful the hype is immense. Btw its metacritic score has dropped to 62% Niggas getting bent outta shape white knighting a Superman Returns lol.
Just nitpicking, we get to see a carrier strike group escort zilla from hawai to frisco bay, then they setup a road block with destroyers? And knowing full well nukes cant stop him, they open fire** AND MISS! ** thus killing tons of people on the bay bridge. Am pretty sure zilla was happy just to swim under the bitch and not have to ploy through it. Dis logic… just so many bad calls.
If you’re going to start talking about metacritic stats then use all of them.
It has a 7.4(meaning it’s good, which what we all think, we ain’t saying it’s the hottest shit ever, but it was damn good).
It has mostly good critic reviews at 26, with mixed coming in second at 21, and only one fucking negative review by critics.
The user reviews have it at 126 good reviews, 22 mixed, and 31 bad, meaning the good is substantially higher than the bad and the mixed.
asking for Ghidorah in the next movie is like asking for the next Mario game to just start you off at Bowser, then end credits.
I’m sure there is a term for nostalgia tears, but I was having them all throughout the movie T^T

I do Not want another flying monster again, especially Mothra, we just got done fighting against a Flying creature that was bug like already. Anguirus has been shown to be a protagonist at times and he can still showcase himself in the 2nd movie if they plan to have King Ghidorah. You could make it a homage to the time they both fought King Ghidorah together.
You mean you’ve never played a Mario game in which had shortcuts leading to Bowser before?
So we’ve never seen a Main Antagonist appear in either the 1st movie or 2nd movie within a series right? X-Men with Magneto, the Dark Knight with The Joker, hell even the Batman of the late 80s w/ Keaton started off with The Joker, or how about Captain America with Red Skull, TMNT with Shredder, the list goes on and on. The assumption that just because King Ghidorah shows up in the 2nd movie and if their were to be a 3rd film does not mean that it’ll fall down the gutter, just simply because the Central Antagonist was in the 2nd film.
All flying monsters ain’t built the same. Mothra has gust attacks, poison and toss Godzilla all over the place. Nothing that the male MUTO was capable of doing. To be honestly, the male MUTO never capitalize on his flight against Godzilla.
A hero’s archrival isn’t always their strongest foe. Magneto is strong but he isn’t Apocalypse, Joker isn’t Ra’s, etc. There are villains that can only be built up once everything’s been established.
Just saw the movie in IMAX 3D. I don’t think it’s worth paying 3D movie really doesn’t take advantage of the technology at all, which was a mistake.
Movie starts off really well, I was also surprised that Cranston wasn’t the main character. Watanabe is under used, he is the Perry White of this movie, just shows up randomly at the end.
My only gripe is that they focused too much on the human perspective at the end. The whole movie is teasing and cutting away early just when shit is about to go down, I thought this was to build up the anticipation of the final battle.
They should have saved the breath for the very end, rather than use it twice in the movie.
Soundtrack was rather disappointing too, ugh and the romance at the end, not needed. Infact the whole family angle was a waste of time.

Great movie but I won’t be getting the Bluray.
Having another flying monster will make it feel like just another Muto. Nobody wants to see yet again, another flying creature that looks like a mix between a Moth and a Butterfly, in fact Mothra in terms of appearance (yes, they’ll update him, but he’s still a butterfly like monster) looks even less intimidating then the Mutos did.
When you think of Main Antagonist for the X-Men, Magneto will be the first name out of 90%+ of the populace mouths, he may not be the most powerful, however he’s the most central Antagonist to the X-Men which is what Ghidorah basically is to Godzilla. The Joker isn’t Ras, however none of those villains even breath on Jokers level. Point being, we’ve seen Main Antagonist appear in the 1st & 2nd films before.
Godzilla already is established, the existence of Kaijus living on the planet Earth is already established. Stop acting like we need a ridiculously long and intricate story to introduce King Ghidorah…this is a Monster Movie we’re talking about, not an Oscar Nominee movie. The biggest problem is that you assume having someone like Ghidorah appearing in the 2nd film is a bad idea yet from what we’ve seen from numerous other fiction movies that this is not the case.
