Agreed 100%! You have to have an Imposing Monster whom has the potential to flat out kill Godzilla. As much as people like Mothra, lets be real, Godzilla would wreck him for free if he really wanted too, not to mention it’s a flying bug. I’m a Big-G fan and I would be hard pressed to wanting to see him go 1v1 vs Mothra.
King Ghidorah should be the #1 choice in the 2nd movie, and introducing another less imposing monster would actually be taking three steps back. The first movie has already introduced Godzilla to the public again & to showcase his dominating presence along with his sheer indestructible dominance. The second movie should be where everything goes into the gutter in terms of peril, because with a Kaiju like King Ghidorah confronting Godzilla you would be able to make him even dominate Big-G in which the viewers would not only be able to believe it but put them into a sense of fear that Godzilla could actually get killed by this confrontation.
Possibly make it to where Godzilla does actually look like he’s dead or at least unconscious from their conflitc mid-late into the game, while having the mighty storm loom over with thunder and lightning which could then strike Godzilla (alas a call to some of the Old G flicks) leading to a “recharge” Godzilla for a 2nd and final bout.
Only King Ghidorah would suffice In My Opinion. So No Mothra please, I mean come one, A 3 Headed Golden Dragon with Wings or a Flying Moth/Butterfly? That’s an Easy pick for me, and not to mention just imagining the new Modern Look to King Ghidorah would make all of us go through puberty again.

Alright just saw this movie last night… overall I think it was ok. Not bad, but not great. Not great because it’s another movie plagued by cheesy hollywood cliches. Kid in the train was unnecessary, the main white dude and his family weren’t really necessary either, and in the end his defusing skills didn’t even play a part because the boat just went on auto pilot. You know they are going to find their families already, why even have that shit? Movie could have been 1 hr 30 mins with jap scientist, dr brodie or whatever, and that admiral being the main characters, and it would have been a lot better… but nah you gotta have the sexy white chick(who would look great in amateur porn) and the good looking white dude(no homo) on the screen so men and women can masturbate to(whichever one they prefer).
Godzilla(the creature) was dope though.
I think the fact that people posting on facebook saying this movie was MOVIE OF THE YEAR and critics raving about it and shit made my expectations way too high.

Some of the complaints about this movie seem, as if, they’d never seen a Godzilla movie before. I guess people were expecting something different other than a really “godzilla” Godzilla movie.
People expected it to be like GFW or Destroy All Monsters. This movie is somewhat grounded in reality compared to previous Godzilla movies.
Godzilla is a fucking hit. Alot of people liked it. Dominated box scores or whatever you call them.
I don’t think it was great but it is good enough. They came back strong at least.

-there was no overwhelming human character development and any development was to build up for Godzilla
-there was only one fucking cheesy as fuck lame as scene where dude meets up with his girl
-several fight scenes that where done well
-the main fight was bad ass vs bad ass, no stupid ass impossible omg the humans killed a robot/monster and thus relevant!
-they finished this shit Mortal Kombat style
-no deep film bullshit, this was raw fight to the death giant monster porn
Just because it followed all the old ones, doesn’t mean it’s good. A lot of the original japanese ones were not even that good anyways, just the fights with the monsters. If a movie isn’t good, it isn’t good.
The new Godzilla isn’t bad, but everyone raving about how great it is and some even saying it’s movie of the year… yeah, I was def expecting a lot more.

It’s fine if you didn’t think the movie was that great, just like it’s fine that other people thought the movie was great. what kills me is people who were expecting extraordinary human storylines or acting, as if they’ve never actually seen a Godzilla movie before, and had to deal with dubbed conversations, or such amazing characters as “chick who sings to wake up monster” or “twins who sing to wake up monster” or “tiny child who is allowed to run around without supervision and who stops aliens/mafia/evil corporation”
And to all the people who wanna blow their load early and go for Ghidorah next movie…where do you go from there? How do you one up one of the ultimate Godzilla villains, as well as go back to “oh we gotta worry about monsters on Earth” when you’ve now established that outer space monsters are coming to Earth to fuck him up.
People have fucking DEVOLVED if they’re going to Godzilla movie for anything but Godzilla.
