Speaking of MVC2. I was in nothing but awe seeing Justin do work.
It was just some troll supposedly. Mago said no such thing.
listened to it and nope, no racial slurs or anything of that sort at all… the only thing even close to shittalk was when mago said he could win evo “without any problems” (mondai nashi)
For everyone wondering why people tend not to like Justin Wong:
It’s not because he’s too good, or always winning, or how he plays. It’s because he’s absolutely not the guy you want representing your country. I have a lot of respect for Justin Wong, and I think if I met him, we’d get along fine because from what I’ve seen, he’s a good guy with a solid head on his shoulders. So why not him? He’s not good looking, he’s fat, and he’s not cool. (Doesn’t dress well and that emo hair isn’t too complementing) If he was like Daigo, where he was presentable, and actually has that cool “Takumi from Initial D” presence, I for one think people would like him fine regardless of how he plays or how much he wins.
P.S. I have nothing against fat people or Justin’s choice of style. I’m just saying it the way thousands of others are seeing it but blaming it on him winning or being cocky because it’s politically incorrect to hate/dislike someone for their appearances.
what i think people are trying to say is we don’t hate Justin “the man” but Justin “the player”. Justin “Player” represents everything we as players want to be but are just not lucky enough to be blessed with the talent and tool that the “Player” has. It’s just Justin the “Man” bad luck that Justin the “Player” is one and the same and people are going to hate the “Player” and the “Man” because all they see is Justin.
People hate Justin because they’re losers.
That’s it really. If you’re not a loser, you don’t hate on others’ success. Justin is one of the nicest people I know. There’s no reason to hate him, unless you’re just a hater. All this shit about him being cocky and talking shit… is just bullshit. I always thought he doesn’t talk anywhere near as much shit as his skill and accomplishments would allow.
people who hate justin or marn are people whom justin and marn dont give a fuck about in the first place
wth, ok the europeans are just being competitive then. im pretty sure the order goes japan, america, europe. korea somewhere above or below americans i assume. if the europeans were so good one of there top players should of at least made it to top 16. did any even make it to semis?
is americans really that far away from the jap level?? one second i hear them praising certain individual players from america and then later i hear mago stating that american level is really low compared to japs. i really hope the japanese evo we can settle things and at least show them we are not as bad as they think americans are.
also anyone know where i can see arturo’s money match with daigo?
if we’re only talking sfiv…Ryan heart’s been the only non-Japanese player to beat daigo in competition. I can’t think of the last American to beat him in a tournament. Maybe that’s why their claiming to be better…through association.
Ryan Hart couldn’t make it out of pools at Evo this year.
True, but it doesn’t take away his Lvl3FA crumple ftw over daigo…even if it was lucked out, it’s still more than an American can brag about (I’m not counting MM’s because he’s lost a few of those to you guys).
lol wtf
We play for money, Japan doesn’t.
Luffy put Daigo in the losers bracket, at the World Game Cup tournament in France.

Yeah I give Jwong mad props for grinding it out with Rufus instead of counter picking. Which he could have simply done. Ricky going with Chun instead of Rufus… Thats not exactly counter picking since he didn’t try Rufus out first perse.
Wong put him in loser’s at 2 separate SFIV tournaments. During the grand finals of Evo last year, and if you don’t count that (which you should) he also beat him during winner’s finals of Season’s Beatings 4.
Doh! How didni forget that headscratcher of a win. There you go, EU’s up 2-0 in terms of KOing the beast.
Ok… well if you ignore Justin, I could use the same shitty logic and say that in the tournament that Luffy beat Daigo, Eita wound up winning, forever solidifying his superiority over Europe, and Eita got bodied free at Evo. He lost to this dude that I beat whenever I play him… so by the transitive property, I’m better than Eita, who beat Daigo that day… so, I’m better than Daigo.
OR
EU could just not get bodied free at Evo… or ESWC. Either one.
And Luffy is my dude, but transitive property just doesn’t apply to SF.
Woah woah woah, so touchy. I forgot those. My bad, geez.
Lol - “I’m saying it the way others see it” - what a cop out.
Cool, good looking - All homo bud.
