lol I know right, it tickles me when people say sent is the most equipped to abuse lvl 3 x-factor, you don’t know fear until you have a teleporting lvl 3 xfactored wesker coming at you, or a tri-dashing magneto/phoenix/storm/chun-li. I don’t even like sent, and hate how overused he is, but over powered this character is not. How exactly are you getting hit by a character with double digit frame normals, no tri-dash and no standing overhead? There are far more terrifying characters in the game, and this sent hate seriously needs to stop. Is he the most over used character in the game, you bet your ass he is. Is he the best character? Maybe. Is he broken? So far from it. There are so many characters I can see giving him match-up issues, x-23, modok, amateratsu of the top of my head. Seriously kids these days, get beat by a strategy, instead of learning it lets just claim its broken and not deal with it.

And because of that, he ran through all of the people from Winter Brawl 5 that used Sentinel. Stop crying about a character, if you are good, and actually find some strats to beat the character you hate so much, like people did for Sagat and Guile and Honda. Seriously… shit

The match against RyRy(?) where JWong did a Sentinel 200% XFC’d combo on the other guy … to open the match … kind of shows that there just might be something a little wonky here. Might not be the end of the world, but a 200% combo seems way more annoying than Tron-Y or glitched Juggy. =\

Im confused as to what it is exactly your complaining bout, it sounds like your complaining about a 200% combo justin wong performed on someone with sentinel, but justin doesn’t play sentinel. Unless your talking about josh wong, then that would make sense. Either way, I believe I know the match you are talking about, and while you raise a good point, I believe most of the cast is capable of such damage with an XFC so I don’t really think its game breaking in anyway.
I really don’t see the issue with sent, yea he has the most health and does the most damage, but he also has some of the slowest normals, is susceptible to both a goo keep away and a good rush down, has soooo many combo’s/instant overheads that only work on him, and is just an extremely big target.
Yeah, that was just a match off the top of my head. I think the problem is way more structural than just Sentinel being overpowered. I was just granting that that’s one particular OMG moment that could be construed as heart-breaking.
I’m not good enough at this game to gripe about anything. I’m still just enjoying it.
doesnt matter if his normals are slow his important ones have super armor and are damn near impossible to punish. frying pan covers half the screen, has no hurtbox, and gives a groundbounce while cr b has super armor and reaches about half screen both lead into his launcher which = 80% if your lucky. not to mention he has the best options in the game after killing off a character. he can frying pan/launcher/drones/command grab(which he can combo off of)/normal grab(which he can combo off of) you cannot seriously tell me there isnt something wrong about this? and there is almost no way to get on him unless you have a great lockdown assist (ie doom missles or akuma tatsu) because you cant jump at him and unless your ammy or wolvie or joe you cant walk under low spit
Oh yea it was quite shocking, but I try to give the game time prior to complaining. Plus, I mean justins won every tourney he has entered, without a sent on his team, so obviously the better player still wins even when sent is involved.

Plus while his crouching does have 2 hits of super armor, there are a lot of moves that beat it out, x-23’s :d: for example and any multi-hitting air attack. Yea I will admit, when sent is in the air, he is extremely terrifying but he is supposed to be. Sent is a good character no doubt, but if people just sat down and learnt the match up instead of bitching they would be surprised how much more beatable he seemed. Heaven forbid you switch up your gameplan for a different character.
Let me rephrase that, I am not making any claims that he is or isn’t broken, Im saying let the game grow, lets learn the match-up properly before we claim whats broken and what isn’t.
i have yet to see a video of someone punishing sentinels blocked S. and nobody is saying that he isn’t beatable but the fact is every character has to work much harder then sent does to win. and the only slight counterpicks i think he has are ammy,wovlie and task
