Oh, yeah? So, someone being dead gives you an excuse to be a disrespectful asshole? That is pure bullshit. Say that to people that live here in Hell, buddy. I know you don’t believe in Heaven and Hell, and God, so you are irrelevant to me.
Oh damn, all along I thought it was a dumb american bimbo, but it was a girl from India.
Makes me wonder if there’s more to the story than that. Maybe it wasn’t an airhead after all.
Yep. Reading is fundamental. Indian parents are, by even yesteryear’s standards, overly controlling. Many indian-american social sites discuss this. It’s a culture clash: parents stuck in the usual ancient “you’re our property to treat as we choose…ultimately for OUR happiness and social standing” mindset, while the kids are more american and modern. Even in America, there are grown, adult Indian women who aren’t allowed to move out of the house until they marry an indian male of their parents’ choosing, or go away to college. They can only date other Indians, forget guys they actually like. That’s what the asshats with their semi-gleeful comments don’t understand here. Traditional Indian parents have their daughters on lockdown, sometimes forever.
That’s all true, my homegirl from the ASMB basically had to flee and escape from her parents just to marry the man she loves, she was pretty much kept locked up Repunzal style unless it was something very traditional Indian or college related. This is extremely common for Indian families here and back in India. I wouldn’t be surprised if for the girl in this story contact was so limited she’d rather be dead than stay basically a prisoner.
I can totally see the parents thinking they are going to really punish her by taking those things away, but the key to parenting isnt just flat out torturing your kids lol. Oh well not my family.
Dad deserved it, fs dad only trained his kid to be S tier, the chicks parents tried to get her to get a life, and instead she tops herself, stupid bitch.
Oh, man I would LOVE to see YOU in her situation. Come straight home from school. You’re talking to a friend on your phone? Hang up! You talk too long on the phone! No texting or facebook! STUDY! What’s this? You’re playing video games?! What do you mean “DONE studying”?! No such thing. Keep studying! Go to the market with your mother, no side trips! Come home, help put away the groceries, and STUDY! phone rings What? No Crusades can’t come to the phone. He’s STUDYING, and doesn’t want to be disturbed by people who are going nowhere! slams phone down Dinner’s ready! Come eat, then study before bed! Your ass would be gazing out your window, watching other happy teens walking around and interacting normally while busting out with “Part Of Your World” from The Little Mermaid within a week.
Naw son, id be like “Did one of you motherfuckers hang up this phone? Oh shit we got a problem…” before laying some well aim shoes to some well deserving ass. Bitch needed to learn to stand up for herself, besides maybe she enjoyed studying and used facebook to gaze at peoples graduation pictures. Its Ndia, crazy shit goes down.
Being alive gives me the right be a disrespectful asshole to dead people. Freedom of speech, and all that. Death doesn’t excuse someone from criticism.
I’d take a shit on your mother’s grave and piss on her headstone for free if someone asked.
Different country, different culture. You know the country it took place in, but do you understand how things are done? You DO understand that in India, women are completely subservient to their parents? There is no independent young woman thing there. They stay with parents until they get married and are completely subject to their parents orders, regardless of their age. Getting married is their proof of adulthood, after which they can move out…and be ruled by their husband, if he isn’t modernized. Even a young man would be pushed around by his parents for not studying. You’d try your tough-guy act, your dad would slap you like you were a little girl, and you’d go back and pick up the calculus book. In that situation, you never would have experienced the freedom you did in america. All you’d know is India’s traditions.
Fortunately am not from America, however you do paint a good picture of what life is presumably like in the US’s bible belt, or maybe mid west in general. Also for the sake of generalisation, strict over bearing parents are everywhere its not explicitly a cultural thing. India is a long way from its heavily criticised caste society it was taking heavy flak for even a few decades for. Hell we got young girls facing up to the Taliban and taking bullets to the head for the sake womans education in Pakistan, a country that is way behind the curve compared to India and your giving me shit about a girl that was getting education and topped herself over facebook. Just no.
