If you’re curious to see it as a GB fan, but don’t want to support it just stream/download it online for free yes I am advocating that since apparently I’m too much of an asshole to appreciate this film according to the director.
BLESSED BE ON TO BASED IDW COMICS!!
THE ONLY COMICS ATM THAT’S PUBLISHER WORTH A DAMN!!
@Hawkingbird
Yes!!
YES…FVCK YES!!!
I strongly recommend them.
Burnham, Schoening, and Delgado, aka the chief 3 man team behind the series has been putting in work on the series for the past 5 years!!
Hell, for those of you who don’t want to spend money on the live action movie but want to support the Ghostbusters franchise for 2016!!
I suggest picking up the current run which is dubbed Ghostbusters International:
…Egon got f’ed up in the beginning of this storyline!!
And is somewhat sideline but is still making a huge impact on the story-line!!
Though, if you want to caught up everything in the IDW Ghostbusters aka…the O.G.movie universe, then this is the reading guide:
…and oh new spot-on-ish Kylie Griffin cosplay
Sony Pictures, y’all had one job!!! ONE JOB!!
Delivery us an exceptional live action Kylie Griffin and as a bonus, Melanie Ortiz!!
Both of these ladies would have pleased both longtime Ghostbusters fans and the partially rational portion of the Tumblr/SJW crowd!!
I don’t know why this line is getting so much flak. The female thing is used a lot by, you guessed it, female comedians. So it shouldn’t be a surprise it’s used in this movie by a female comedian. Is it funny? Meh. But it isn’t offensive at all.
Then mentioning she wasn’t helped because she was black, again has been done by black comedians on stage and in movies. I’m gonna try and put together a compilation of comedians such as Chris Tucker, Eddie Murphy, and Chris Rock using a similar line in their movies if I have the time to do so today, but it’s again old hat. Is it funny? Depends on the delivery. Is it offensive? Not even close.
It’s offensively unfunny and retarded no matter who delivered it.
Serious question why do you bother posting in this thread when all you do is defend the film and argue with literally everyone here? No one here or anywhere else apparently thinks this film is worth Inafune’s toilet paper and your posts give off the vibe that it bothers you we think that. I don’t think anyone is going to change anyone’s mind at this point unless of course the film miraculously ends up being halfway decent which is looking less likely by the day.
I think even if we got a cast of 4 funny comedic actors rather than these talentless women the film would still get as much hate because really it’s the writing, direction, and deceptive marketing that’s looking shitty not really anything the actors can do anything about or are responsible for. LOL @ that NBA ad making it look like the players will make a cameo in the film, Sony Pictures built an entire studio dedicated to the GB franchise so they’re just doubling down because what else can they do at this point?
So why did James Rolfe get so much shit for simply saying he is not interested in watching the reboot, but when Comicbookgirl who said the same thing and even straight up tells her viewers to not see it back in March no one said shit to her?
So certain “media” sites can push the “Those damn misogynists!” narrative for clicks and faux controversy, this then gets picked up by bigger actual news sites and regurgitated as fact. Why? People like to stir the pot and it’s easier than using logic and evidence in what should be a rather boring news story of “Film reboot looks shit and some people who hold it a little too dearly aren’t going to see it”.
You say it’s devoid of logic but the lot of you are saying this movie sucks before you’ve even seen it. Judging something before having experienced it is the bat signal of stupidity and I’m here making sure you’re all aware at how dumb you are.
