you cant negative edge normals or system abilities
just use PKS for HS frc
its like kara throw with an extra button!
alternatively, just macro it if you use pad

Learn all their rushdown patterns and mixups. Once you get used to them, you’ll have an easier time blocking them and you start to see when you are safe to try something. Slayer should be one of the chars that can get out of lockdowns more safely than others by using instant block with dash-cancelled jumps. Also learn to FD sparingly to push them back a bit to give you room and possibly mess up their lockdown since they aren’t close enough anymore. Using Dead Angle Attacks is not so good since there are multiple targets so you’ll still get hit if you try to DAA, so careful with those.
No you cannot negative edge an RC/FRC. That would kind of fuck up eddie’s game when he has meter lol.
i dont thinks its possible bc once u hit the command for rc it instantly cancels
and in all the games ive played in order to neg. edge more than one button u have to press them all at the same time so when you press the 3 buttons to hold them you rc
and if u try to hold rc then press the fourth button you activate ik mode ( try the second method in the air though since ik cant b activated in air that might work
i was in practice just now and turns out sols hidden super is qcb x4 hs+p then you quickly press slash (i had no i dea about the slash part) but this shit is useless (right) 100 percent tension and it eats your health is there some kind of advantage to the secret D.I.
Instant Blocking: Block just before an attack hits. If done correctly you’ll flash white. This reduces pushback and your time spent in blockstun. You might have a chance to retaliate when you normally wouldn’t. Also boosts your tension gain for a short while.
Backdash: Some backdashes have a lot of Invincible Frames, (Like Potemkin), others barely any. It’s really varied, but depending on the character you play it can help get you get out of pressure.
Faultless Defense***: Hold any two buttons besides Dust while blocking. Drains tension slowly while you are using it, but it will push opponent back potentially causing their pressure strings to whiff giving you a chance to escape.
Dead Angle: While blocking hit 6p+k. This will take 50% tension to use, but it’s basically an Alpha Counter. Some are better than others.
Then there’s also the riskier Slashback (copied from Dustloop thread)
Slash Back: - 4+S+H or 1+S+H
Slash Back is a feature in Accent Core which allows any character to “parry” any form of attack(Projectile, Overdrive, Normals) by pressing 4 or 1+S+H. Attempting to Slash Back looks like a gold FD ring around the character for a brief moment. Successfully Slashing Back will cause the character to have a gold aura to flash around them, and they will recover insanely fast. You will recover fast enough that basically any poke in the game you will wind up on advantage on if it is not stringed.
Slashing Back costs SLIGHT tension to do. You cannot “hold” Slashback like you could FD. It needs to be tapped. Successfully Slashing Back will not only give you the parry, but it will net you a small amount of tension on success. You can Slash Back multi-hit moves as well as gatling chains. You must Slash back AS the active frame becomes active. AKA you do not want to do it “before” the hit hits, like with Instant Blocking. You want to do it just as it hits you like a Red Parry in 3S or something.
You have about a 2-3 frame window to activate a Slash Back properly. You also cannot Slash Back for the first 10 frames after you have risen from the ground. You must Slash Back the correct direction (high or low) for the parry to take place (IE you can’t 1SH a Dust). You can do either 4SH or 1SH for mid hits that do not hit high or low.
If missed, you are left vulnerable for approximately 30 frames during which time you can block nothing. If you whiff a Slash Back, you can still try with another Slash Back again, but your guardstun will then be 4 frames instead of 2. On that note, Slash Back usually has a guardstun of 2 frames if you’re on the ground, and 4 frames if you’re in the air, regardless of attack level. You take no block damage and your guard gauge does not increase.
Hope this helps.
I ment more along the lines of hitting 5HS as im holding down 5HS hit KS and letting go Of HS. But now that I know I cant do that I just have to get faster on the inputs.
actually i think you can do it.
i didnt think to use the same button (5hs) to RC ill try it out.
Got an american copy and lovin it.
What is Chipp’s best BnB? Seriously, there are a lot of em but what’s the best.
Are you trying to 5HS, then use K+S+HS to FRC?
Something you might find easier -> 5HS with your ring finger, then P+K+S to FRC using your thumb, index, and middle finger. Although if you’re not careful, you will FRC into Destroy mode activation.
There really is no best. It’s all situation dependant, like whether you want a knockdown or not, things like that, and w/chipp you will want a knockdown most of the time so you can follow up with his crazy okizemes. Give this one a try for starters :
5S, 6P, 5S, 2D, 236S, 236K, 5HS, j.P, j.K (2hits) , j.D (knockdown)
Hmm, I thought in this game, every character had a fair chance.
Thanks for the list TGS and your help Moroha
He’s joking. ^^;
Yeah I think the Anji comment was a bit too harsh. Anji isn’t the best but yeah he still has a chance. He still does a lot of damage just requires a lot of tension.
Amen.

koogy would it be alright if I posted match vids in here in case people dont feel like watching dozens of vids to know good gameplay?
of course
Who is Ky’s worst match?
ky and worst match arent really two things that go together. He basically is 5-5 with every character in the game, even himself!
at least, thats usually whats thought about ky.
I’m liking this version a lot more than previous ones ive tried. I think its the higher damage thats doing it for me.
Im really posting here to subscribe though. I’ll be learning May, Slayer, Potempkin, and Bridget i think.
Or am I? >:D
Yes, everyone has a chance, but Anji is, hands down, the worst character in the game. Not saying he’s a BAD character, but he’s just not a GOOD character either. If you watch S rank characters play, you’ll probably be amazed at how much bullshit they have. If you watch Anji play, you’ll be like “Oh…” Anji’s biggest weakness is his combos don’t do that much damage, and he usually has to use 25% meter just to get any kind of significant damage, making him a bit of a meter whore and having terrible abare.
In Accent Core, being D tier means you’re just not broken like S and A tier.
but… he can auto guard in air!!
