Everyone in AC is legit, even Anji… who is the worst character in the game. Lower tier characters just have to work a bit harder… although last I checked Zappa was either B or C tier.
Well yeah. If you only mash this hard, you get out of stagger this fast. Etc. Etc.
EDIT: WTF Anji is still the worst character in the game? I love that I kept playing Anji instead of Fagstament. Those were always my two characters but I don’t like him now that he’s such a little bitch. He plays like the fucking Cable of this game, if there were one.
There’s 4 levels of mashing during stagger, level 1 (barely any mashing) level 2 (mashing normally), level 3 (mashing REALLY hard during the full stagger) and max/level 4 (mashing thats basically only doable if you’re a computer and can input a new direction every frame). level 2 is the standard “oh shit im in stagger”, level 3 is possible if you know a stagger move will happen (ie you are in a combo), level 1 is if you suck and level 4 is near impossible by human standards.
and anji isnt that bad, just remember that being bad in GG is like being a high tier compared to a top tier character in 3s, generally your worst matchups are 6 - 4, there are arguably some 7 - 3s littered about (like 3 at worst) and thats the worst matchup possible in the entire game. being bad in GG is nothing compared to every other game.
So is wiggling back and forth bad for getting out of stagger. Should I do 360’s???
I wiggle back-forth and mash buttons, I used to be able to escape 5HS -> Pile Bunker from Slayer back in XX/#R days.
Does Anji’s 3S have guard point as soon as it starts? Is that how I see people doing guard point K (is that Aoi?) on wakeup? I can’t find any use for that normal but I haven’t used it really. I can’t do the 5HS, cancel into 3S then cancel into something else at all. I can kara everything in 3s but I just don’t get the timing for this.
Mashing buttons does nothing to get out of staggers. >_>
I can’t remember if this is true or not, been so long since I practiced getting out of a stagger.
Isn’t it better/faster if you mash 1-3 or diagonals (1-9 or 3-7) as opposed to 4-6?
I’m 99% sure mashing buttons doesn’t help getting out of staggers/dizzies, hence only the stick waggling icon.
I think so, but in that case going between 123 may be better so you don’t accidentally get hit because you ended up jumping after mashing. D:
The only one of his moves that has guard points as soon it starts is 6K. Pretty much all his other one seem to have guard point within at least 5 frames of start-up IIRC.
I think 3S is one of his only one that guard points against lows.
Anyway, my Internet is still screwed at home, so I haven’t been around much. That’s not much of a huge loss though.
I just wanted to say that I’ll be at SFSU for the first time in (two?) months tomorrow. I’ll probably get my ass kicked as Robo-Ky, Faust, and Zappa.
P.S. I’m pretty sure only the stick matters for getting out of dizzies, since mashing buttons never helps and I rarely get out of them since I’m afraid I’ll break the stick like the clusmy jackass I am. :bluu:

I remember seeing that a while ago.
I dunno whether to say thats cause of Eddie or cause of Owaga.
:0
Is Grand Viper different? I can only get all eight hits if I mash left/right and S/H.
Grand Viper definitely likes buttons.
Posted earlier in thread. ;o
As for the timing of the 3S cancel stuff, it’s like whatever into 3S, then hit 5S or 5H once you see the animation of 3S. The timing is really weird and not something you want to fuck up in a match.
Ah, I see cool thanks for clearing that up.
I keep telling Teyah to put cheesy HnK IK music once Eddie starts his IK activation.
Both. D:
LOL.
I remember hearing about some Millia player beasting Owaga after SBO? Any links would help.
buttons do matter.
Though to say testing anything stagger related in AC training mode is bugged in the first place so hard to test if you only have that game. shruuuuuuuuuuuug
