GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

I too use the Delete feature to make sure my bottom-middle button (6 button layout) does not do anything in the event I’m mashing or something and I hit it.

Dizzy is sick.

can anyone give some insight (do’s & don’ts) into the Eddie vs Axl matchup, from Eddie’s point of view.

wheres the problem? just drill till you get a KD and win

j.K is good, put little eddie out full screen and puddle offense him

How does HOS beat a really good Pot?

with 6k!

gun blaze and jump spam p

what’s with all the short answers? is it that easy?

I find this match-up really hard.
Probably because I’m playing against a professional grade Pot.

And I never get a chance to charge, due to 236S.

One more thing, if you still want to taunt or something silly like that, you can have taunt set on the select button, which is what I usually do.

you should always always do charge burst on reaction to slide head, he really cant do much otherwise.

gunblaze beats ANY closeish jump in he does, it’s a free CH if you time it right if he does any jumping move. dont gunblaze up close though, because it bites it to throws pretty hard (if he random busters you die!)

jump spam p on reaction to hammerfall, it also makes it really hard to know when to buster you on landing if he can at all, spam p generally eats his jump ins pretty well too, it’s also hard to time bds properly as pot vs os when he does that.

otherwise, just try and keep him away by slutting level 3 specials, just don’t try any dumb gimmicks because potemkin often has an answer to any dumb gimmicks you have. except os’ FD which beats slide head somehow (dumb glitch)

those are your stupid advantages over pot, otherwise you have to flat out out-play him.

also unless you’re playing mikez, ken i or gwyrgyn (im not aware of any “amazing” potemkins in the us besides them feel free to inform me of any!) you’re probably not playing an amazing pot (unless oyu live in japan lolol)

ok th8x

the guy I’m talkin about plays at a arcade, and everytime I’m there he owns all my chars unless I pick Sol or Testy.

When I watch vids of top notch Pot players, I always consider the fact that this guy is almost as good as them.
But, i don’t know the guy’s name, and we never seem to speak to each other, unless I’m playing Testy and land a good badlands loop on him, and he says “fucking bullshit”.

He might not be amazing like mikez, but he’s pro material, and does not play any char besides Pot.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…

i wanna learn and be awesome with Chipp.

Is it worth it? Should i bother?

Can i beast with him on regular basis?

what tier is he?

lol i wouldnt call that pro material

It’s worth it, like everyone (except for maybe Johnny or Anji in this game). Should you bother is dependent on you.

Probably not. You’re going to get fucked up whenever you take a hit, and if he’s you’re very first character, then you doubtless be getting hit a lot. Unfortunately, getting hit a lot and Chipp should never be in the same paragraph, much less sentence. He tends to get killed in at most three combos, especially if people (or the CPU) know what they are doing.

[Insert link to that funny short of Chipp getting death-comboed. There’s a reason he’s used in so many combo videos…]

I think he’s a like middle “tier” to low-middle “tier”, much of it because he has the worst health in the game, though that’s pretty much his only weakness outside of not doing that much damage (thankfully). He’s fucking annoying when played right, but no one seems to play him outside of a few black people because he takes damage like he’s constantly being poisoned.

Good luck with that.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm its really hard to tell good pots from matches other than if they win or not really. does he instant block a lot? does he break webs properly (there are specific ways to break webs with pot that are better than others!) does he do proper giganter loops? where is the arcade? cali? midwest?

id like to see a vid of him playing. and im not saying you’re wrong its probably just doubtful that hes as good as you say.

it’s her own wrist.

You forgot to mention that playing Chipp (or Sol) as your first character is mandatory if you’re black.

Well, Blodia’s Asian, so I neglected.

Speaking of which, who do non-FOB Asian generally play as their first character? I know the FOBs supposedly pick Sol first, but other Asians pick…?

Oh, and I’m Black and I’m pretty sure I never touched either of them when I was messing around with Reload. I think the very person I used was Bridget or Millia; probably Bridget.

But I’m an “oreo”, so ignore me.

non-fob asian here, i play Eddie as my main, Venom as secondary

wow, all i can say is wow.

non-fob hurrrrrrr, and in the very first GGX game i played, i picked Anji Mito and Dizzy.

I guess i’ll go learn Slayer, Zappa, or Millia in this one… SIGH
