GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

Hey, I could be better (family emergencies I mean, I’m alright). We need to play sometime soon. I’m out of school until the 14th of January.

Hey guys. I’m new to the series, so I’m learning from scratch.

I wanna practice defense, so what’s a good (really hard to break from) block string I can set the training dummy to do? Also which character.

Thanks.

I would tell you to program Eddie’s in, but you are brand new, so I dunno if that’ll work. Testament is a good pressure chatacter, and hw isn’t as hard to learn as Eddie. Watch a few matches on yt to learn what types of strings you should be doing.

a lot of gg is about matchups, play the computer to at least learn what moves look like and behave like…etc.

watch videos, and learn your character first before you try to practice defense in that way, it’s just not very efficient until you have a grasp of the game already.

Advice needed…

Should I get the Wii or PS2 version of this game? I have older ones for the DC and Xbox. Is there a difference between PS2 & Wii?

PS2 is probably the best way to go. But there is no difference between the two besides the Wii version having an “easy mode” option for you since things may seem difficult on the wii-mote.

Shonen is to be best testament player I have ever seen even going back to Reloaded, Slash, or X2 but youtube only shows 3 people beating him HH, Ruu, and Bleed but I have heard that he loses way more often than what youtube shows. I am just waiting for some of those other people to post them so I can see it for myself.

Is Makoto the best dizzy player or are there others that should be mentioned. All over youtube I hear that Makoto and his aggressive style of playing dizzy makes him the best dizzy play out right now and every video I see only proves it more and more as far as I am concerned.

And it’s what SHOULD be said.

I respect Makoto’s playstyle myself. I never knew you could use Dizzy in that manner. I always thought she was all keep away, but she can throw doen up close if need be.

Makoto, Kazuki, H.H, and T.S are all well known Dizzy players. In #R H.H was the best, but he switched to Ky in Slash. T.S was probably the best Dizzy in Slash. In Accent Core… I’m not really sure, but all four players are great Dizzy players.

Don’t forget Miyako, a very solid player.

So basically I can automatically Air Dash after the Jumping Dust without the need for RC or FRC?

Automatically is a misleading word - I don’t know what you mean by that. Baiken has combos where she lands a jD and then just air dashes after the recovery (and typically catches them with a jS chained into another jD), and she has combos where she burns meter to cancel the jD but it’s not as necessary as it used to be in older games.

^Ah OK I get it now, sorta like a ‘link’ of sorts, cool will test these combos on my next play
