Don’t forget mad advantage on block.
What are some good Jam players to look up?
KA2 is all you need. He has tons of vids on yt.
Johnny Depp wannabe at SBO in the finals. (what was his name? >_<)
Flash Metroid here in America.
His name is Mike
so do people actually hit 2k,c.5S,2D,mat, j.p consistantly? Cause that shits hard.
Also, are Baiken’s D counters used often. Haven’t seen any vids so far with anyone doing anything past the first 412D. I know it’s using tension but does that mean that it’s more worth it to use tension for j.D frc/mat frc instead?
that guy made me lol when i saw him. wasn’t there some dude dressed as faust a few years back at sbo?
I think his name is Satoshi. That guy was bad ass.
That was the potemkin player.
Oops, i’m wrong. Ryujin pointed it out already. thanks for the correction Mighty-Whitey
Check out Lyrical Lit’s team from this year’s SBO, looks like a bunch of criminals
on some chars, you have to start the chain from a run. otherwise you get pushed out too far. and yes, it’s hard but people still do it consistently
her D counter has the fastest startup. lets you counter baits and setups that you wouldn’t be able to counter with any of the others.
run forward xN
2366S is the new stun edge
Personally I like 6H -> TK 236D x N.
Can anyone give some explanation of bridget’s normals and specials?
I just got AC today however I haven’t played GG since #R which was a couple years ago. I still remember a little bit of how to play Jam back then but I was wondering if she’s a way different character now. Should I brush up on what I know back in #R and build on that or start completely scratch with her in AC?
Man I hate Mugen language, anyway I’ve been using Baiken and am having a little trouble in making good combos with her after:
St. S–>Cr. Dust–>QCF+K
^What are some good follow-ups to it? Also what are some good ways to combo into her super?
Finally what’s the difference between her guard break moves?
I’m not sure how it’s so hard to read “mugen language” when short handing long combos in GG is a lot easier using that method as opposed to the old way to short hand SF combos.
In any case, after a sweep into tatami mat you can combo into j.P-S-D. You may have to super jump instead of regular jump, but I’m not sure. Keep in mind this only works at certain distances. If they’re pushed too far back after your sweep you’ll need to FRC the tatami mat in order to combo after it.
Here is her list of counters:
P counter - mostly used for when people are jumping in on you. On CH it’s untechable and launches (even if they’re on the ground). Risky if you do it while the opponent is on the ground, as a normal hit will allow them to recover faster than Baiken and punish her for it. On normal air hit it’ll launch them. Prorates 70% (I think).
S counter - used as a ground counter. Comes out very fast and can even hit level one moves (such as punches and kicks) if you do it as soon as you block. It has an FRC point and staggers on hit, allowing you to combo after it as long as you FRC it. Quite unsafe on block, so make sure you FRC it. I’m not sure if it prorates.
K counter - Baiken runs a short distance and can end up on the other side of them if they’re close enough. It has an FRC point at the end to cancel out the vulnerable recovery frames she has on the move. Overall not terribly useful, from what I know.
H counter - New to Accent Core. Baiken flies over the opponent and lands on the other side of them (similar to her K counter but she hops over them instead). It has an attack follow up (which hits from the other side at the right distance) that knocks down on regular hit and launches on CH. If the opponent is expecting it they can air throw you out of it or punish you as you land, so be careful.
She also has Force Break guard breaks, but I’m not sure how they work since I don’t play Baiken. All I know is that they come out extremely fast, and for another 25% meter you can knock them down and give them a status ailment (such as can’t jump, use special moves, next hits are all CHs, and I think another one I’m forgetting). Hopefully someone else can give you more details on them.
^Okay thanks a lot, and BTW assuming I do one her guard cancels and the opponent is juggled should I also just go for Jumping P, S, Dust? Thanks.
