GG’s Jam Claw… if you need more practice just let me know. But just work on those backflips…i think you use it too much when you’re panicking or in a bad situation. I noticed that alot, which is why i can always rush you into the corner so easily and fast.
GG’s indeed, I’ll probably get on later. I do need alot more practice. Especially in mirror matches, good Vegas tend to give me difficulties. I was taken right out of my A game by you, and I failed to make the correct adjustments. Something that really had me on my heels were those crossup kicks, I caught you with alot of grabs but It left me open for poking I felt. I’ll try to cut down on those flips too. Kentaro - Glad I finally managed to beat you a couple times, though you won the majority. Some of those games really came down to every last bit of chip!
Alexlkd - I normally pride myself a little bit on my throw game but you didn’t seem to have much trouble teching everything I threw out. Very impressive. I felt like a fool getting caught by those focus attacks so often. Your Vega is pretty nasty.
You guys have any advice for how to tighten up my play style? I realize I have quite a few holes, but I think my vega is starting to come together a little bit.

You got some of the basics down, but you should consider some things like the followings:

RCF leaves you at -2 on block and +2 on hit so trying to attack me back after me blocking a RCF to beat my attack isn’t going to work.

You really need to work on your footsies. Try incorporating st lk and cr mk more often and really work on your spacing.

I am currently testing alot of stuff with the focus attack which is why I have been using it alot lately (preparing my focus strategies for Super which will be even better when the focus attack is faster and having reliable BHC to punish jumps and backdashes) To defend against it the best thing you could do is mix up your options, between using ST or st RH, a jump, or backdash/backflip.

The only reason why I was able to tech you well was because the grabs were always from the same moves. In reality I suck at teching. I try to OS tech but it always fails me, although now I know the trick to it, I am slightly better. You have to attack more and then try and mix in your grabs.

Work on your follow ups after your attacks. Work on your pressure and offense. Things like jump MP after a back throw or an izuna after an izuna in the corner or the st lk pressure.
You’re definitely right about my throws. I just always have the desire to go for it after jumping fierce you know? I have so much success with it that I guess I forget how much of a pattern it creates if I abuse the tactic.
Out of curiosity, when is the best time to implement those neutral jump tactics? I do it once in awhile in the corner when I think they’re about to jump out, but of course I’m well aware it can be used a bit more frequently then that. I’ll keep in mind all the other things you mentioned and try to start working them into my game.

No problem at all…im hardly on as it is too. But we’ll see what happens though. Hopefully we’ll get to play before super comes out lol
