Oh yeah…Rambo is the most random rail shooter I’ve ever played in my life. The in-game music is what really got me laughing.
Playing as Gief in SF4 vs Akuma (fireball + teleport keepaway/runaway) is not fun for me yet. I don’t see how people play Gief in games without air block + super-jump. I’d go crazy. =\
Runaway from Gief strats make me not want to play gief sometimes. All AKUma can do is runaway though, otherwise he is dead. Maybe it balances out?
Yeah, I respect if I catch him, he’s dead so he has to run away - it’s just incredibly tough for me to deal with right now with my noob skills. =\
I have no idea what to do other than do the super special “Zangief sits on the ground and cries” move. Seems pretty hopeless so far. 
I played Geif against Nate playing Akuma (to help us both learn the match-up), and runaway fireball is almost unstoppable, but it can’t really do anything to you either. Just build up your revenge meter and Lariat all day, and you end up with your WMD’s and no damage. I bet the situation is different against serious Akuma players, but for now it isn’t to desperate. Just a patience match.
Well, I saw some videos where AKUma won via time running out. During matches like that I usually yell out FIGHT ME. Unfortunately most people don’t listen.
GGs to everyone at gameworks last night. Mickey D… as soon as SF4 comes out on console my guile’s gonna be “SWIPE”-ing his boots all over your grill!! Haha. Oh and Pig-sama better be at the regionals.
Akuma/Gief matchup is pretty difficult on both ends. If you as Gief are playing an Akuma who just likes to spam air hado and run away all day, then yeah, exactly like Brent says, It’s a matter of patience. Stupid Akuma players will play that run game all day against Gief’s since it’s pretty solid.
As far as “catching” Akuma…You kinda take that with a grain of salt as every time Akuma is close to Gief, he should be teleporting the first chance he gets.
All you Zangief players are gonna have to start adapting to the runaway crisis…Gief is too good in this game…Can’t risk this guy getting in EVER.

The more I play the game the worse I get…Also, I’m really not a fan of all the people jumpin’ on the Zangief bandwagon now that he’s good. I’ve been an avid 'Gief supporter through thick and thin and when I heard that he was a monster in 4s I was excited, but then I find not only is everybody and their mother playing him they’ve also made him TO EASY TO PLAY. I remember a time when only the truly dedicated could play 360 characters well enough to wreck house. It took time and energy and it made you a force to be delt with, but NOW…fuck, all you gotta do is mash that lariat all day and toss in some swirls of the joystick for good measure and as long as your proximity is good you’ll land every hit/throw. I pray to the capcom gods that they fix this game for the console release, but I won’t hold my breath.
GGs last night; that was one of the smallest rotation’s I’ve seen at Gameworks. A night at GW where you can get in 20-odd rounds, who knew?

Well, Paul and I will be down at gameworks for some time to work that SFIV machine, so I hope some people will stop by to get a few good rounds in with us. Driving an hour south to play the CPU wouldn’t be much fun =(

Hey, I used to play in the PNW back in the Quarters/Lanworks/Southcenter days way back when, and was hoping to get some SF4 in since that doesnt happen at all at school back east. Whats the time most people play, or is there (hopefully) always people playing at gameworks?
there’s generally always people there, but hopefully if you can post up when your actually there, we can organize a session or something so you can have some strong comp.
