what’s wrong with isuka? I play reload like crack but I have no problem with Isuka. Nobody has actually given it enough playtime IMO to really give it a thorough opinion. Just because the addition of a new play element blows your tiny mind doesn’t mean the game has no merit. I’d like to see some opinions of Isuka by people who have actually played the game more than casually.
I’ve only had the pleasure of playing it a few times, but I enjoyed it for what it was, and as soon as I get my modded PS2 I plan on giving the game a pretty hard going-over.
I’ve played it more than casually, and there’s no reason to play it more than casually in the first place. Nobody cares about the game and there’s no scene, end of story.
2D fighters shouldn’t have turn buttons. That idea is just retarded. A way to lock-on would have been much better.
I want to rent the game to see the extras, but I don’t feel like figiting with the turn button BS.
Edit: I played it once with some other people and we agreed it was bad after about 5 minutes and some retarded mix-ups went down.
Team matches are hilarious. Trap one guy between 2 people and have them mash on slash. Win.
Turn button lends itself to stupidity, like backdashing into your opponent on wakeup.
I have the pre-release of this and i was not impressed by it at all. the turn button should have been left out when playing 1v1 because it doesnt make any sense to hit another button when trying to perform a cross-up or teleporting.
the extras arent really enough to keep me interested. id say #reload is the better game

I like Isuka, but it needs a LOT of fucking work. Just copying and pasting characters from #R into a 2-lane engine without adding anything else is retarded. I don’t mind the turn button so much, but there’s almost no reason to move to a different plane, even with 2 v 2 games.
Also, the hit box priorities are weird. Some attacks are absorbed with one body, others can hit multiple bodies onscreen, and there are even some attacks that, while sandwiching an opponent, will TOTALLY pass through them and hit your partner instead.
It could use a lot of work, but I do kinda see a future for this game.

turn button = no such thing as crossups…if anything it should be a blessing to scrubby ho’s
The fact that FD negates high/low games AND crossups is another stupid thing in Isuka. The turn button you can get used to, but FD becomes a virtual fortress of solitude against some characters. Millia gets owned hard by FD now 'cuz FD screws everything she can do except like, throw. Wow.
tension drains like a mother fucker, so ‘uber fortress’ don’t last long at all
the game just sucks perioid!
