Finally got around to watching your streak. The pressure you put on that Ryu in the corner was ST-like. Good stuff, I got some tips out of watching.

More shitty Dee-Jay.

Even though i’m quite proud of my progress so far, THIS sir…helped me realize i’m missing out on a whole bunch of valuable tools for my DJ. thanks for the link! and keep doing your thing Hatrify.

Hatrify v. sksksksksksksks222 (whatever the name is, lol).

Great friggin’ match!

i cringed when you burned 2 bars Hatrify.
Got lucky with that ex sobat at the end of the second round.
well lamed.

@ Verify: God, the Guile matchup is so hard for me. Pretty much the first round is indicative of how it goes every time for me. Lots of close range fireball trading, and his normals and superior boom recovery just win out. You capitalised really well on his mistakes in the second round, and that combo you used twice in the third round is godlike. I need to learn that. I’ve said before that I don’t think FADC is that useful for DJ but you’ve just proven me so wrong. Against characters like Guile you can’t EX sobat through booms anyway, and you need to get every scrap of damage you can.

Re: Akimo vs. Yun, I learned a lot from that video. He keeps away and zones a little, sure, but he seems most comfortable at the tip of slide range, which he used a lot that match. His main way of dealing damage seemed to be getting either a slide or a knee shot into a chunky combo, and both were done from the same middle range. He uses EX sobat to finish combos as well, to create the space again.

Previously I was trying to zone as much as possible, then turtle the Yun rushdown and try to upkick one of his dive kicks. I would also try to vortex a whole lot. Seems I was totally barking up the wrong tree.

I wonder if he could have made more use of st. mk at that range, though.

Thoughts?

Online is soooo…

you need to abuse his bad wakeup defense especially without meter.

Me vs some Dhalsim on the PC version. This is literally one of maybe 3 or 4 matches that I’ve played (of over 300 so far) that are worth even fraps’ing and uploading to youtube. Even though I won, this is the matchup that I need more practice in. It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this forum…I’ve become more of a lurker again.

I just picked up AE for the PC the other day, since I got a new computer and figured it would be easier to record matches on it. First off I want to say that if you have a good connection and computer, it runs smooth as hell; to the point where I like it more than xbox. The downside (major) is the fact that the competition kind of…sucks ass. Then again, that is to be expected.

This is older but I got some decent vortex in there.

Welcome to the dash ultra army Twelve lol not bad, but you could have played better. Got tagged with a lot of snipers. i would recommend holding back instead of down back because you can react to sim’s far reach low punch.

Had a league tournament yesterday. Won 6 and lost 1, but not happy with 90% of my play. It annoys the shite out of me when I can hit 1-frame links in practice on online, but put me into a room full of people and I drop combos, forget all fundamentals and generally play pretty poorly. I’m most pissed off about my loss vs a good Cody (winner). I know I can win this match up but then get a beating. I know I dropped alot of combos but I CAN hit them. I know it’s a trainwreck, but if anyone wants to look at how I need to do better vs Codys, please let me know. I just noticed that some of his counter hit stuff took a huge chunk of health.

Me at 18:45 at SBO Qualifiers with DJ.

GJ dude. I saw you play warahk and another guy. You and Guile looked like you forgot the match. Guile didn’t punish your sobats, and you didn’t punish his double sweep.

No one really knows the DJ match unless they play me often. They don’t even see DJ as a threat so they don’t do their homework. I was nervous because it’s like my second tournament but I know you can focus but was concentrating on down charge.
