You’d need a career in the game before you can retire from it.
Marvel’s fun. SSF4 is ass in my mind until AE comes out. Way too little balance in char strength.

Lol if you’re looking for balance i dont think AE will be your wave. That shit is way less balanced, but at least dj is better
Marvel 3 can be fun at times… and the graphics are great, the moves look awesome, the sound effects are amazing…
But it’s kinda like a piece of dog shit covered in delicious icing. The further you dig into it, the worse it gets.
I know people keep saying you have to “give it time”. But I gave it enough time. And the more I played, the less i liked it. Even the matches I won left a sour taste in my mouth. I just couldn’t get over the amount of stupid shit i had to do in order to win. It just went against every logical thing that should make a game good. I never had that kind of reaction with any other fighting game.
Fuck, srsly?
Gay.
I really don’t know much about marvel so I don’t judge it, but all my friends say it’s a broken and scrubby game, but it’s super fun. And a few of these guys have placed top 16 at majors if that means much this early in it’s lifespan. I think the brokenness with all the scaling glitches, infinites, dhc glitches, Phoenix/sentinel nonsense and all that extra shit add to the fun for them, but make them hate the game at the same time.
I just want to share this little gem.

I’ve seen some videos of what guile can do in that game and its pretty crazy, cant wait to see what nonsense people come up with for deejay.
Heres a vid i uploaded just cause i kinda like the comeback i made in round 1. Still got work on that p1 side dash.

See, here’s the thing. Considering in AE most of the top characters are dive kickers, its hard to pretend like its balanced. SSF4 was super balanced, and really good. I mean, even SSF4 3DS is unbalanced garbage, cause Guile can flash kick and sonic boom you for free.
If you don’t think Marvel is balanced, then you are probably just not good at the game. Who is garbage in that game, outside from maybe Captain America? See, its not balanced the way you want it to be, so people bitch about a bit of Marvel madness. Street fighter is like chess, Marvel is more like checkers. Marvel is all about combos, and thats what makes it fun. But yes, you’d have to work to find a character that doesn’t have 100 to 50%+ combos in that game and thats what makes it like Checkers, you’re trying not to get jumped first.
Personally, just playing against one Seth or Sim is way more annoying then half the shit in marvel. Sure you’ve got to be marginally better to lame it out with Sim then you do essentially hitting assists and hadokens in MvC3, but the slow pacing of SSF4 makes it maddeningly frustrating.
It just, it looks really ignorant on you guys’ part. Especially when you can take the time to learn Deejay, who isn’t exactly king top tier, he requires work to win, so does MvC3 past scrub levels.
But then again, he is a charge character. So he doesn’t require nearly as much execution, but I love hitting those 1 framers like its nothing cause I’m playing both games.

Hey Deejay boards, I got two videos of my Yang against Kurokiba, a local Deejay player. It’s an interesting match, since Deejay can kill a lot of my pressure game with his specials, and does a fairly solid job of keeping me out.

Thanks, I’ve been curious how kurokiba plays cause he’s basically the only highly ranked deejay I’ve never seen a match of. Hes very good, and I love watching AE deejay the buffs look so sexy in action.
On a side note I toughed out my hand injury lol and got back the top spot on XBL. Tomorrow Ill probably upload a couple matches from a set I played against wolfkrone.
no crossup mk. is yang’s wakeup good against crossups wakeup?
he seemed very basic + nice block strings.
glad i finally got to see his deejay.
Dude is solid.I played Kurokiba about 15 times in ranked. Our w/l ratio is about dead even. DeeJay mirror matches is so dumb.
Yeah DJ mirror has got to be one of the weirdest in the game. You have to play that match like no other match for DJ.
DJ mirrors are good. It teaches you patience and to be reserved with your tools because DJ can shut down his own tools. Getting the opponent to make mistakes and punishing them is something that can be applied to other matchups.
I don’t like the mirror either. Deejay has so much trouble punishing himself for mistakes that it can teach really bad habits. Only thing I like about the match is that forces you to be on point with safe jumps and ambiguous jumps that won’t get reversaled.
I like it lol i’ve beaten every deejay i’ve respected in that match up. Its only fun because i haven’t struggle in the mirror. I have a pretty good idea of what deejay can and can’t do in terms of his normals, and special move properties. so it helps me in the matchup.
AE Deejay looks so good, the only downside to him is that you have to play AE in the first place.
I don’t know if you would call it good, more like impratical and annoying. The only matchup even remotely similar to fighting Deejay, is Deejay. And he’s so ridiculously uncommon that when you get into that situation there is maybe two minutes of shock value and the rest is all downback.
Perhaps downback to AA the more aggressive of you two, or maybe downback to trick the other into throwing a fireball so you can EX sobat but then get blocked by his downback, or maybe downback to charge up a fireball to react to his downback.
It’s not a Guile mirror, but you notice how even Guile mirror’s don’t look like Deejay mirrors, simply because even Guile can make himself sweat on wakeup, but Deejay’s greatest mixup tool is moot against himself so its just like playing tag and reacting to the rest.
Been awhile since I played a good Deejay though, Jcool got me though iirc. Most other times I win, but its more boring then a Sim fight cause the minute I get in we just exchange sobat kicks until one of us falls and then its back to square one.

you can tell he’s new to deejay. this isn’t bad though. he should have beaten that yun.
Not sure if this is news or not, but in that video you can see nj.fp slams people to the ground like cody’s nj.fp
