i love when chunli get UC2 lol, i just zone extra hard and look for trade all day n sit on lead with gouken/deejay just to annoy them 1st round try it its fun as hell, just dont challenge her air to air. she wins all the dam time n i hate it.lol
just notice in this game you didnt go much tap throw, should really tr it more against chargers all throw them all day
man I never knew her U1 could punish that, FUUUU- that sucks. its only on MK and up though,
You DEFINITELY need more throws. that chun was really good though. i dont have much I could say.
when you do knock her down, try doing something meaty. like cl.lk it can stop her from throwing and possibly be safe from EX SBK.
You were looking real solid against him, until you nearly got yourself killed one round, then you decided to try to lame it, but then you got impatient, and tried to go after him in an odd way. I think you scared yourself more than he did. or you just decided to play it safe and I understand thats important in a tourney too.
you played the match alright though, as a Deejay and Fei-long player, i kinda know what both of yall were thinking.
if fei plays like that, dont be afraid to throw max outs, when you know hes looking to EX CW through your fireball, Mix up your maxouts with different strengths and just whiffing st.jab (much like how shotos whiff st.lk). If you max out, then st.jab, you can beat EX CW.
the fei player thought you were guile or something and tried to play like against him. lol him picking u1 tells me that alone. cause his U2 will at least scare us into not trying to really mix him up a bunch with cross-ups. You punishing his rekkas and staying away made him not want to really use it. he was kinda lost as well.
You have to lame Chun Li out from my experience. Her footsies are just too good and beat out everything. There’s not much point trying to anti-air her with anything but lk/EX upkicks because it seems like her jumpin attacks don’t follow the rules of street fighter because they always win.
In Georgia, the same 5 people are in the top 3. I’m consistantly making top 5 now, but I think i need to to start using my secondary for awful matchups.
The matchup against Fei is not good for DJ at all. You have to lame him out. His normals and Rekkas stuffs “all” of DJ normals. Sobat kicks are not safe at all.I kept throwing AS just to see how he will react, but the Fei player was very patient. I usually punish the hell out of CWs but I hardly saw any from him.
For some reason they put the laggiest TV on the stream. I already hate the PS3 delay and that just made it worse for me.
Oh and Chun Li matchup is stupid. After playing Cardell, SoSickNashFan and Scromps a few times… I learned that the matchup is very difficult and there is some things they know and I know that I refuse to discuss on this forum.
you gotta get those charges right. you were slightly off on two critical ex dreads. i think you could have won that. don’t be afraid to crossup ryu. if you are afraid go into training and learn how to beat it with a j. mk.
Usually me and Air connection is ok, but not this time. Because of the lag, I was barely late on punishing his fireballs and teching throws. I even missed a cross up because I input mk to late. He punished that with a srk fadc ultra. Our record against each other is pretty lopsided in my favor though. and I still think DJ vs Ryu is 6-4 for DJ
I feel like that Gulliver missed some GOLDEN oppourtunities to land U2 in the corner against GameOutt. Went for the untechable knockdown and missed the link. Oh well, live and learn. Even Dee Jay Gets annoyed to death by Guile.
So sad to see that guliver get raped by guile. It was an exercise in what happens to DJ’s gameplay when you sobats are completely taken off the menu for him. Really the only damage he got was by knee shots over point blank sonic booms, and the resulting combos. Guile’s normals are better and his fb game is better. There must be a better way to play this match. I usually use more crossup tactics, but I don’t usually play 20k guiles, either.
Even Knee shot is a crap shoot at a range where you think it’s safe because of the hitbox on Guile’s standing MK. Guile’s tricky because he can outfireball you and he gains meter quicker. So you don’t want to fireball war with him. I tend to not Maxout unless I see one of his booms come out. I’m not winning the FB war, but I’m not losing it either. I try to move forward after every boom I snuff out with Maxout, just to push Guile back towards the corner. With the existance of Guile’s stupid air throw, it’s really hard to pressure him in the air if his reactions are remotely good. So you have to move in on the ground and try to play footsies with Guile. Which is hard in itself, because St. Fierce and C. Forward do a pretty good job. Dee Jay has to counterpoke or look for a range to try and knee shot. I try to use st. Forward with Dee Jay as much as possible once I get into range for it, but the hitbox on hit doesn’t seem as good as it should be. I’m so ready for the AE changes
The only upside about this matchup is that Guile doesn’t have a solid answer to the DJ vortex, so I usually put a lot of effort in getting in there and applying crossups/knee tricks, but that’s obviously easier said than done. Definitely one of his toughest matchups imo.
ggs to 12 Ohms, not sure if he’s from SRK or not? Is it cool if I put up our matches? I’ll put them up anyways and if you don’t want me to I’ll take them off.
I’ll upload them tomorrow or something, it’s two DJ mirrors
a video thread with hardly any ne vids of ppl playing deejay in super or A.E. umm wtf… its been like what weeks since ive sen any "DECENT "vids OF ANY JAP/ OR TOP PLAYERS mad lame:confused::sad:
