PLEASE!!!
I wanna know the truth (hopefully it’s dramatic and good, befitting of the greatest fighting boss of all).
me too. Wel by issue 15 or 14 they should show his origins since udoneko had confirmed this. Just wait a few more months and issue,s for this to happen.
Co-sign here, I wanna know the truth about our SF hero!
Isn’t the major problem with doing something like that is if Capcom later finally reveal something about his origin, or even all of it, and Udon does something else entirelly - then - well - Udon’s will be wrong? Then later people will complain/bitch about it not being anything like the real canon.
Its happened in every single story of Street Fighter there ever was. Heck, Street Fighter V’s Nash looked nothing like the Nash we know, but it was hardly surprising considering the TV’s design of Nash was done before Alpha came out.
Not that it helps Capcom rewrite everything every other year anyway - or don’t really care about telling an overal story in the first place but just made some funky fun games.
Course maybe Capcom have made up there minds about Bison’s back story. shrugs Either way - more patiece. It was asked Udon took there time with the story instead of rush everything so they’re taking there time.
Agreed, I want no rush-job.
udon script isnt cannon to capcom script. so go ahead and make a bison background story.
Jesus, what are you, five?
And this is Udons comic, not a Capcom fighting game. Its not cannon.
Well I know that but normally when any comic/show/movie does something with a character that people feel isn’t “Cannon” or “right” they bitch about it something rotten. Even adding an extra character to tell a story revolving around a main character seems to be hieracy. The Alpha movie has been bitched about for adding “Shin” to the story for example.
Personally I don’t think it really matters one way or the other if they do explain his background. It just be a shame if they did do some explanation and Capcom later did something else entirely different because Udon have been doing there best to get all of the characters as right as they can.
I won’t be upset but others will. I don’t want them to hurry up and do it either. I just want them to continue to make there comic, because so far I’ve enjoyed it.
The Bison origins story might not be canon but it could become canon if Capcom liked it. For example, Capcom liked the things that were introduced about Bison in the SF2 Animated Movie so they incorporated them into SF canon in the Alpha games.
This is canon ,that’s not canon…BLAH There is little canon to the street fighter world as we know.alot of good story but too many holes.I, for one, feel if capcom approves the stories of the udon comics on every issue and feel it it close or the real deal, then that makes it canon.I love the comics by udon and hopefully we get all the way after the outcomes of third strike.Lets finish this thing as udon is doing a great job at bringing everything so well together.
Well, it will be very interesting to see what Udon does.
Rose - We know that Rose was created when Vega(M.Bison in the US) tossed out the good side of himself and became pure evil. Some think that his evil energy zapped a pregnant lady(Rose’s Mom) but I’m more of the opinion that Vega split into two people and that created Rose. While this concept maybe “WTF” outside of Japan, the more Japanese Anime, Manga and live Action Movies you watch, the more common it is. The best example everyone knows about is Piccolo of Dragon Ball Z. Let’s see what happens in the comic.
Secondly, we know that Vega trained with two people under one master. They were all three trained in different styles. Most of us (including Saiki, the leading Online SF expert and the reason the Plot Guide exists) believe that the other two students were Urien and Gill, obviously before they had their DNA enhanced. But Capcom has never stated this officially.
And lastly, what does Vega’s master look like, the one Vega killed. He’s showed up a lot in unnoficial Hong Kong Comics. Most of the time he looks the same no matter whose doing the comic. He looks exactly like Vega but he’s wearing a green suit like Vega’s and has blonde hair. Sometimes the hair is long, sometimes it’s short. Sometimes he has the Shadowloo symbol, sometimes he doesn’t. Once in a really ooooold SF2 Hong Kong Comic, he had black hair. Let’s see whay he looks like in the US SF Comic.
Of course, this all depends on what exactly Udon intends to reveal about Vega’s origin. Very curious as to how their take on it will turn out.
The way I see Rose was created is the same way Bison changes bodies. The original Bison soul was split, the evil side went into the Alpha body while the good side for some reason went into the body of an Italian girl called Rose.
I don’t think Gill and Urien were students along with Bison in the same class, though I am curious to know if they knew of each other’s existence. Did Shadowlaw know or even deal with Gill’s Illuminati?
As for the master, I hope this master isn’t associated with Shadowlaw, so that Shadowlaw is purely the creation of Bison. What I’m interested in is the time Bison’s origins take place in. There is a possibility that Bison had many bodies before we see him in Alpha, making him really old. I’m also interested in finding out how Bison transcended his humanity with Psycho Power and became this demon that feeds off negative energy.
Most of all I am interested in knowing the relation between Bison’s psycho power and Akuma’s evil energy. I think they are one and the same, being utilized differently.
That’s an interesting theory about Akuma and Bison’s powers being the same thing, afterall their energies are both kinda purplish in colour. But I always thought psycho power was some form of psychokenisis, considering Bison can levitate and control peoples minds and such.
On another note if Bison does indeed posess a form of psychokenisis then it would make sense that he trained with Gill at one point because Gill has his cryo and pyro kenisises. They both have kenisises!!! Whoa. But yeah, I’m just pullin stuff outta my ass.
Wiether or not Vega is aware of the Illuminati (I’ve heard Vega doesn’t like the Illuminati, but I’ve yet to see this in an official source) has nothing to do with him training with Gill and Urien. This would be before both of them joined the Illuminati and had their DNA spliced. AKA Gill wouldn’t have fire and Ice powers, Urien wouldn’t have electric powers and so forth.
And as I said, the concept of one person splitting into two and recombining is very common in Japanese Anime, Manga, and Live Action Movies. Unfortunatly for me to get into it, this will contain lots of spoilers since this usually turns out to be the ‘surprise’ of the show/movie/manga, so if you don’t want any spoilers on The X Anime, The Ring Movies, Gatchaman (AKA G-Force), Dragon Ball, The Dead or Alive live action trilogy, the X Anime, Inu Yasha and Ranma 1/2 please stop reading this post.
MANGA -
Dragon Ball - Piccolo split into two people. One side was good, one side was evil. Later they both combined into one.
Ranma 1/2 - When splashed with cold water Ranma who is a boy becomes a female. Hot water turns him back. This doesn’t have much to do with seperating, except for the stoy where his female version steps out of a magical mirror. She later hooks up with Ranma’s Male version’s mirror reflection, LOL!
Inu Yasha - One name. Noraku. I’m not even discussing this one in detail since I am behind in reading the Manga and watching the Anime. But thus far three people have come out of this human looking demon’s body. Two females, one male.
ANIME -
Gatchaman, AKA G-Force, AKA Battle of the Planets. This is what they were to scared to translate into English - Berg Katse, leader of Galactor(Galactor in G-Force) was created when Sosai X(Computor in G-Force) combined two twins in the womb to give him an extremly high I.Q. Sometimes he would morph into male, sometimes he would morph into female, becoming ‘Lady Galactor.’
GAMES -
Darkstalkers - The most obvious one is Morrigan and Lilith. Belial seperated a part of Morrigan at birth wich formed Lilith. They later recombined. (Belail also seperated another part from Morrigan, so far the comic has ignored that but I doubt at this point Capcom will ever introduce Morrigan’s third part anyways.)
ANIME - As in doesn’t happen in the X Manga but only the Anime, as in the X Manga will never finish… (the manga is called X 1999 in the states.)
X Anime - Kamui and Fuma discovered that they are the same exact person due to fate. They recombined into one person.
LIVE ACTION -
Dead or Alive Live Action Movies - These of course have nothing to do with the 3D Dead or Alive Fighting Games. Hero and villian kill each other in one reality. In another reality they are assasins(People argue that they are reborn as assasin angels, um, I can’t really get into this if you haven’t seen these movies. There’s different ways to interpret them.) And in the end in a third reality they gain memories to all of these past realities (you can argue that they are all the same reality) and realize they are both the same, two sides of the same coin. Since they are both cyborgs in this reality, they combine into one big robot. I tried to keep this spoiler free as possible, so please watch this trilogy! It will change your life! Or not…
The Japanese Ring Movies, namely Ring Zero - Sadako (The little girl in the well) split into two people. One girl was good, grew up and went to High School. The other was evil and remained young. Later, both recombined into one person, the little girl became the dominant force and there you have Ring 1 and 2. While the Movies never flat out say who Sadako’s father was, the creators hint at it in the movies and straight up say it in interviews. Her father is the sea, or a Japanese spirit of the sea who had relations with Sadako’s mother. This is perhaps the closest parallel to Vega since he is energy that inhabits bodies himself.
And this is really just the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty of more examples this is all I can remember. So while some say “ACK! Rose can’t have come out of Vega’s body because I wanter to marry her!” in Japan, stuff like this is common. The plot guide says in all likelihood Rose’s pregnant mother was zapped by some good energy creating Vega, I disagree with that myself but it should remain in the plot guide because one person splitting into two will freak people who are not familiar with this kind of stuff out.
I’m of the opinion that when Rose seperated from Vega it happened it Italy giving her a birthplace and Rose more or less looked like our Rose. If you go with the energy zapping a pregnant lady, it leaves a plot hole. You have to explain Vega tracking down this baby and training it, because Vega officially trained Rose. Same plot hole with the energy zapping an Italian lady.
And as I said, that’s my take on it, I’m just curious to how Udon handles it. An origin story can mean plenty of things. They don’t even have to touch on Rose if they don’t feel like it. My 2 cents.
I also wanted to talk about Vega being a from of energy that has existed throughout many generations according to many of his SFZ3 quotes. This has lead people to believe that he was also in past lives Alexander the Great, Ghengis Khan, Julius Ceaser among others. Whenever this conversation starts, someone chimes in “He might of been Hitler too.” And someone else says “NO! HITLER WAS TEH RACIST!”
Speaking of which, in the Newspaper Chun-Li holds up to Guile in the SF2 Animated Movie it elludes that Shadowloo has some connections to Nazi Germany. What is the exact connection it doesn’t say, except for transferring research facilities. Not that it makes it official since it’s source is an Anime. On the fourht post of this link I wrote down what the article says.

Oh yeah, then there are those that believe Sigma of the Megaman X games and Vega are the same person. Me myself, I say HELL NO but this actually sounds more plausable then those who think that Guy is Strider…
Sigma looks a lot like Vega if Vega shaves his head. Sigma also seems to be formless energy, IE destroy his body he’ll just sneak into a computer or another robo-body. So if Vega’s soul where to somehow escape Hell (Since Gouki killed him, Shungokusatsu sends you to Hell) and enter MM reality, or if MM reality and SF reality are one in the same (highly doubt it) it at least seems plausible. I don’t believe it myself nor does this have anything to do with Vega’s origin story as I am just rambling…
Capcom has said they never intended to reveal Bison’s origins.
The only thing I could come up with after speaking with them (Capcom) was that it was possible that Bison was once part of The Illuminati, but was banished, or left, and his Psycho Power, the ability to have an immortal soul, etc, etc, were part of the secret teachings of the Illuminati (according to Capcom The Illuminati has 66 diffrient teachings/abilities to be leanred, but no one person can know/learn them all)
Id gladly write a story/script for UDON based on the above info.
yea sano ive seen those dead or alive movies they kick ass the 1st one has the best ending to a movie i ever seen that just total surprised me i was laughing for ages i musta watched that last scene 3 times straight afterwards. im not goin spoil it by saying what happens but you pepz should check it.
Sounds like most of you are bison fans i got flamed for suggesting in another thread that bison should be the boss if their was a SF4 surposedley his dead in the REAL SF universre.
any of you finshed CFE with bison i think the endings are done by the guys who do the comics, you see bison going up against Gill with bison thinkin his dead he does that reseruction thats were it ends maybe thats hinting whats going to happen in the comics.
i think the comics are really cool i would like to see these guys do a SNK comic or even a cross over CvS2 perhaps.
@TAS
Psycho Power is the ability to absorb/feed off negative emotions such as fear and hate then manifest this negative energy into physical form (the purple fire). Bison’s ability to switch bodies and have an immortal soul is a totally different ability, his levitation is probably something else too. What Bison does is use his fighting style, psychic abilities in conjunction with his Psycho Power, creating a deadly combination.
What the Psycho Drive does is absorb negative emotions on a massive global scale and transfer them into Bison, it can also convert this negative energy into physical form which takes the form of the laser beam that destroys cities (SFA3).
Although the possibility that there is relations between Bison and the Illuminati isn’t farfetched at all. Both organizations (shadowlaw and the Illuminati) conduct genetic research. Both are lead by super-humans and both have this thing going on about the day judgement. Bison mentions to Rose that it is she (she is actually Bison) who will stand victorious on the day of judgement.
@Bill Rizer
Are you sure Gill actually resurrects? Cuz if I recall correctly Bison beats the shit out of Gill and takes over. I didn’t see Gill resurrect.
Daemos - He’s right, in Vega’s CFE ending Gill Ressurects. Vega doesn’t take over anything either, he flies off and Gill stays smiling with Kolin.
Bill_rizer - Yeah, the first Dead or Alive Movie’s ending blew me away! If you want you can put your SF4 idea over on the ‘Mel Masters’ Thread like everyone else has here in the Street Fighter Comics forum, we don’t flame. Um, for the most part anyways.
Dammit! Why won’t Gill just die… BISON IS SUPREME!!!
