I don’t wanna sound dumb but what is CFE and where can I find out more about it?
its capcoms latest 2d fighter capcom fighting evo or i should say rehash mix of characters from their various fighters, streetfighter2, darkstlakers,aplha,3s,WARZARD if thats its correct name dont ask has dinosaurs etc. you have 4 characters for each series.
And one new character ingrid a rip of, of snks athena.
also i wouldnt worry about missing it out, apart from the ending art the game is pretty :lame: rehash.
Yea Daemos i total agree Gil is a fool, kill his ass and give the man some clothes while your ate it what kind of god doesnt have enuff money or powers to have clothes lol.

I doubt Gill can ever die given he survived Akuma’s Shun Goku Satsu, something that killed Bison and sent his soul to hell, then there’s a the fact that according to Capcom he plays apart in The Day of Reckoning, so that has to happen before he can die, but that isnt supposed to happen for quite sometime.
I like Capcom Fighting Evolution myself. The Gameplay is really tight if you set it to Level 8. Not to mention, playing with 2 players is a must. It’s not for everybody, more for the hardcore who don’t care that much about Sprites and Graphics but good Gameplay. That’s why it’s making Arcade Touneys in Japan, because of balance/gameplay. It’s a budget game, but Capcom never tried to hide that, right on the back of the box it says ‘old school.’ To each his own I guess, I hope I didn’t turn this thread into a CFE debate Thread…
lol you done it now sano, id just thought id clear up my statement, id say this game is ok on its own merits however considering what came before it CvS2 i dont see how its any good and i think thats one of the worst rosters ever, they should have throw in 1 or 2 extra charcters for each team.
I guess pepz dont like it because fans of the respected series say alpha think their characters have been weakend etc so they dont like it.
If people want hardcore fire up SF2T it dont get no better than that.
Yea it was a small team that did that game it kinda felt like it, if only capcom put as much effort in as snk are doing with NGBC their answer to this game and if the gameplay is tight in that, that would be my greateast fighter ever only thing missing would be capcom characters but hey SvC2 you never know…
Yea sano this is not a dis or anything every1 has their own taste me for example i luv snk but i get hated on most of the time, maybe this game will take off who knows. :karate:
I feel that CVS2 and CFE are for different audiences, they are for different types of gamers. CVS2 is for people who want everything. CFE is for people who care more about gameplay/balance. I actually prefer a game with a small cast then a game with a large cast where you can only use a handful of people myself. I like both games for different reasons. SF3 Third Strike has a smaller cast than CFE, no options at all, people love it, but when it came out this game got trashed big time. (It does have great graphics though.) I don’t think the overall US opinion of CFE will improve, but I see the more people play it the more they like it. And hey, it came in as #15 in the top 20 Games in Japan in PS2 Sales, and it’s making the Tourneys in Japan, but over there, it’s more about Gameplay than Sprites, options and so forth.
As far as the Roster goes - Every character there did well on the SF Anniversary Online Poll. Even though it was mostly a Japanese vote, Lots of people outside of Japan voted. That’s how Guile got in instead of Nash, because in Japan Nash is waaaay more popular. There’s a character for every type of Fighting style you use, so if you get past ‘this character is not in there’ you can find someone to adjust to your styles. Every single vs. game caters to Japan when it comes to rosters, always has, always will since they are the ones who really make or break these games. Yes, they loooove Anakaris in Japan. Ryu is more popular than Ken. Morrigan’s popular, but she’s in enough games if you ask me and she’s not even the star of DS where Demitri is. And he has Midnight Bliss, Morrigan can take a break.
Well to get back on topic (somewhat) I’ve decided to write a short little story about Bison’s Origins, and I’ll post it here when done to see how people like it, and if people like it and/or Erik (Udoneko) likes it then hopefully it could be turned into a back up story.
I was also thinking about writting a series of short stories called “Life After Street Fighter” which would explain what became of the SFers that were only around for SF1, or SFA, or SF2, etc, although that was more or less something for the comic, ie a way to get closure with the characters that wouldnt be part of the SF2 or SF3 arcs.

Nah, Warrior’s Fate is our little SF Storyline Thread that talks about SF’s official Storyline. It was originally in the Fighting Game Forums, got moved to General, got moved to the Fan Fiction Forums section. There was a big crash at SRK where we lost 1,200 posts, so the Thread’s restarted and we’ve got almost 4,000 Posts! The bulk of information in TiamatRoar’s SF Plot Guide comes from here!

Lol, the SNH Ryu is basicly the only thing people are on the wall about when it comes to my story, including Capcom, ie when I told them about the story they didnt like the SNH part, but understood why I did it, cause it was really the only way to get alot of classic chars back in the storyline, ie Ryu going SNH agains gives the ability to bring alot of chars back into the storyline, Sagat, Sakura, etc, etc, basicly something has to happen with Ryu to bring alot of chars back in (past the SF3 story)
Anyways the Bison story I have in mind would be pretty short and simple, and ties in what was basicly the only fact Capcom stated about Bison’s past, which was that he trained with two other students and killed his own master, applied to some other facts that I was able to come up with from talking with Capcom.

It was Capcom of Japan. I got the chance to pitch several games to them, and while I was there I got to talk to various people aside from those I pitched the games to, and got the chance to ask a bunch of SF related questions I had been wondering about for awhile.
TAS thats cool maybe you should of done a die hard and takin the building hostage untill they completed SF4 AND 5 CVS3 hell even a new turbo lol.

I already knew they were making or had plans to make SF4, so I didnt bother pitching a SF4 concept to them, rather something that happend beyond SF4 (along with some other SF spin off ideas as well) Capcom plans to release SF4 in 2007-2008 to celebrate SF’s 20th anniversary.

Awhile ago Capcom made a statement saying they have no plans to ever do CVS3, MVC3, SFA4, or another version of SF3, so dont expect to ever see those games (unless someone makes them with MUGEN)
No, but but a big chunk of the storyline of one of the SF games I pitched to Capcom is in the fan fic section, under the name Street Fighter Neo.
Well thats cool but who knows what state gaming will be in by then might be good or bad who knows wit ya ps3 xbox2 nintendo revoultion.
I figured they would make a game like how they made CFE didnt think it would be SF4 dam they had plans to make it did you steal any blue prints lol.

Capcom and Sammy announced Sammy Vs Capcom at one of the Tokyo Game Shows (TGS) awhile back however nothing has been mentioned about it since, and I didnt ask Capcom much about it, only what characters they were considering putting into the game.
Anyways though, I dont know where Sammy Vs Capcom would of fit into my post you quoted.
You listed off a bunch of “not gonna happen games”. Which included games people really wanted to see like MvC3 and CvS3.
Sammy Vs Capcom is a game a lot of people want to see.
Like you said, no one’s heard zip about Sammy Vs Capcom and when you didn’t list it, I wanted to know what was up with it.
I was wondering if they mentioned anything (they did) and what it was that they said. (ie which characters, style of fighting game, possible release date etc etc.)
