^we can play if you like (on 2DF/Supercade), I don’t rock but I don’t think I completely suck either.
Been REALLY tough finding someone to play in MOTW now after the format change, since I can’t host. So if you or anyone wanna play then please lmk, my MSN:
Well uh, wanna try it? Doesn’t take long to set up and you can use the same roms you use for GGPO iirc. I can’t use GGPO for the same reason I can’t host on 2DF.
What do you hip kids use these days, AIM? I can install whatever.
We can try a bit later maybe. I’m still at work -_- boring. I use AIM but if you want I can just get MSN I guess. When I get back home soon I’ll make a 2DF account and we can try it. What name do you use on 2DF?
I’m going to go ahead and say you played Baburusu Kun, he plays EXACTLY like that and he’s Japanese. I had the unfortunate experience of playing him once and it didn’t go well because of the ping being about 220 ms, he pretty much handled me and I decided that it wasn’t in my best interest since I couldn’t guard cancel or anything with the latency. It’s going to be a lot harder with Jae unless you’re hyper aggressive and can manage to get him in he corner - otherwise he’ll keep running to build meter. I reckon Grant vs. Jae is a hard matchup, so try a different character if it’s too aggravating. My personal anti-Grant is Terry or Kevin just because they do monstrous damage and Grant’s extra health bonus doesn’t seem so intimidating using them. I have some problems facing Grant with Dong, too.
But, I saw Sensei Sounds take his cookies with Marco and that was exciting to watch because it was so one-sided. Basically, the guy got guard crushed a bunch of times and couldn’t run away.
JD and keep forcing yourself closer to him pretty much. If you are using a character with a fast fireball you can JD then GC into their fireball to counter his fireball keep away attempts.
Yeah, after each successfully JDed fireball, just dash or run forward a bit and wait for the inevitable follow-up and keep doing that until you’re in, eventually they’ll be cornered and they’ll try to do something out of desperation. They might super, try to jump over you, spam more fireballs, whatever, just pay attention to what they do and you’ll be able to act accordingly any other time they’re cornered.
Pretty much, but my corner box game is mostly reliant on countering and waiting for people to move first. IE: if you try to jump out I’m going to hop C or air throw. You just have to be really conscious of openings and have to exploit them as soon as you see them because the window is often times very brief. Waiting is a bad idea too, because that gives me more opportunities to keep doing my mixup strings.
Not sure how you expect people to help you with a really vague inquiry like that.
Forgot to say ggs to Diavle for the other day. We should play again sometime. I also ggs to Sobakasu whoever you are on here. I still want to play other people from here if anyone else wants to get some games in. GGPO/Supercade both work for me so any of those I’m down to play on. Oh yea my MSN is: LessQQ1@hotmail.com if anyone wants to hit me up on that.
