Yea it’s been known already and people will use them online I’m sure.
Is it just me or does Butt and Terry come as scrub characters? I state this that a few of the Khushnood Butt comp ive played did the ryu/ken crap running away and doing projectiles. The same goes for Terry.
I’m really enjoying the use of Freeman. This guy has potential to be my main right now. Basically im 10-14 online. Im still trying to get this game figured out. I havent been this interested in a fighter for a while.
Well usually most new players pick Terry/Rock since they are pretty straight foward. Marco/Butt is the shoto of the game pretty much.
I just want to apologize if I’ve played any of you guys and have d/c’d in between rounds. Since I’ve played SFIV too much online without there being a pause menu in online matches I developed the habit of hitting start and weak kick to bypass win poses. I hit weak kick just to give my left hand something to do.
Well on this game I hit start and a in between rounds… and I kick myself out. I’m trying hard to break out of that habit. I’ve tried to rematch the people I did accidentally leave on, but I think they got mad bacuase of my stupid actions.
I am scrubby at this game, but I take my ass whoopins like a man. So if you meet me and I randomly leave in between rounds in a series of matches… that’s my SFIV habit kicking in. Just send me another invite.
…ohhhhhh, so that’s what that button does!
gay.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while but do people really get tricked by Jae Hoon’s bb+B ‘kara’ cancel?
It’s just one of those things I can’t pull out too often as it takes a while to come out though I wonder if it’s possible to kara cancel into super on reaction to the opponent’s backdash.
I think it miiight be more useful after a few repetitions of cD CC dash blockstrings…
Well, I’m still enjoying the XBL version in all the modes including online, but I must say that it’s not only the netcode that’s better in GGPO. It also looks so much better when run under GGPO with the enhanced filter:

Did the arcade even look close as good? SFIII also looks totally amazing IMO with the enhanced filter, which makes me wish all the more that game devs would simply port GGPO+rom when creating an XBLA version.
Great netcode + great graphics? Sign me up. :hitit:
I noticed that, too.
You actually can’t use the command button in live battles.
So at least SNK did something right.
at least its fun to see what the command does and then replicate it. Like Jae Hoons crC+qcfx2 p+qcfx2 k for 70+ damage.
well excuse me
i noticed that as well
Vol. 8 featuring Kevin is 80% done, I should finish it today or tomorrow.
Making this vid was a bit of a challenge since there was a lot of stuff to comment regarding Kevin’s moves and combos.
Non the less, I decided to put some info in Part 1, while leaving some other info for Part 2 (often for the sake of tidiness). I REALLY hope this vid will be easy to understand and grasp some of the basics of Kevin.
@Tizoc: Thanks for the visitor message with Gato tips. I’m doing pretty well in player matches online with Gato. He’s so much fun, and I’m getting a good grip of QCB+D and pseudo-cancel it with A so that I’m not getting off the ground or barely off the ground at all.
I just want to add another “netcode is absolutely miserable” vote to the pot. Picked this up as there were mixed reviews of the online experience, and even at 40ms ping it’s still pretty terrible. Back to GGPO I guess.
This also doesn’t instill me with confidence for KOF XII
Yo how many xbox live points is it because I am officially broke but I have always dreamed of playing this game seriously man . Oh and by the way i am sorta new I used to be a lurker I digress so is the game arcade port go or just sorta different because I want to enter in tournaments and stuff under it
just played him twice right now,
he was dong hwan and was just jumping all over the place doing the same thing over and over:tdown:
800 points ($10)
All your getting is the ps2 port with crappy netcode. The PS2 port is not 100% arcade perfect, but still acceptable. For basics and understanding of the game, go ahead. But for online play, your better off using GGPO.
Check the 1st/2nd posts in this thread for useful info on, well, anything for this game.
Now I’m about to get into Grant, how exactly am I supposed to play him? Is he offensive, defensive, or bait and punish?
Proceeds to look for match videos
definitely trying to get more into the snk franchises. I downloaded this game on xbox. Its fun as hell. Wit KOF12 comin up i definitely want to get a solid foundation for these types of games. the short hop seems to be the game changer for me after goin my life as a street fighter nut.
check the gamertag and holler at me.
I’m liking this Girl with the birds and her air switching and stuff. its kinda sick lol.
Switch from Hotakumaru to Dong. He’s crazy fun. I like his mix ups and dive kick pressure.
Way better and more comfortable to play than, teleport slash (blocked) xx free damage for the opponent to give me.
well when i was in player matches i didnt have any trouble at all. However, I was lucky enough to fight a person that happen to have a comcast connection as well and lived in Baltimore too
