I personally like the HRAP, but I swapped out all the sanwa parts for seimitsu, cause they are more like the original neo geo stick.

The problem with that is that 3S is already online on the 360 by just getting the old Anniversary collection for xbox which works with the 360. Unless capcom plans on doing a CPS3 add on to xbox live I dont really see 3S getting a release on it’s own.
So you don’t think 3S would get a release on Live Arcade because it is available on the original Xbox?
I really don’t think Capcom is above re-releasing something. It’s kind of their thing. And I don’t really expect this hypothetical game to be the exact same 3S as the one in the Anniversary collection. I’m thinking they could tweak the characters so that the “god tiers” aren’t so godly, and make the online as awesome as possible. I’m envisioning something like what they did with SF2 HD Remix, only it would be easier for SF3, because they wouldn’t need to give it much of a facelift.
Just gotta wait and see I suppose. Anything is possible with fighters in '09 now.
Indeed. I think that the biggest hope for Garou is the sudden resurgence of fighting games.

Also, I’ve read an article online where a person said that SNK had part 2 of MOTW ready in like 2k2, but shelved it during bankruptcy. Heard anything about that? If so that’d be a good one to dig up and release for the company now. I am trying to find the article he said it was like 70%+ done or something.
Awesome thread Garou is a fantastic fighter. I just imported me a PS2 version from Japan, so I don’t have to dust off the dream cast.
Question, why is the art design way better (imo) on mark of the wolves than regular KOF? Diff team?
Yes it was 70% complete but since SNK went bankrupt the project got cancelled while in production. It was also going to come out for the neogeo as well but since SNK is workin with new hardware they would probably have to start from scrap. Not to mention those who worked on MOTW/LB1/LB2 are now split from SNK and work at either Capcom/Arc Sys now. I wouldn’t doubt that another fatal fury game would be in the works at SNK as we speak. Anything is possible these days now with fighters.
They used a whole different team who also did LB1/LB2 as well which also uses the same art style. The artist who did the designs for both games was Tonko. I believe now he mostly works on mangas mainly.
Who does Butt’s air chains work on? I can’t get them to connect for anything.

Well he has 2 different air chains :snkb:, :snka: or :snkb:, :snkc:. The :snkb:, :snka: version only works on Kevin, Freeman, Tizoc, Jenet, Grant and Kain only. The :snkb:, :snkc: doesn’t work on anyone at all. Then again it wouldn’t rely on using the air chains too much unless the people you are playing tend to GC a lot on jump ins well. Though they can still get beat out depending on what they are GCing into. The only characters I would really use it on the most would be mainly Tizoc, Grant and Kevin. Jenet’s is the most common to fail and whiff all together on the chain. Mainly because you have to hit her early in the air with :snkb: if not then the :snka: wont connect and whiff.
If you are talking about here it isn’t it just takes a lot of work to do long writes up but I promise to start working on those again. Besides that anyone can ask anything and I’ll usually answer it pretty quick.
Thanks. Butt seems so hard to do well with at high level. You always have to have everything perfectly mapped out it seems or you get owned with him. Are there any useful setups for his charged punch? I always charge it, but I feel like I’m putting too muc on that one move
I meant in general. It seems MOTW is being played a lot less and less nowadays, at least from what I can tell :sad:
Well it’s easy to GC into it or even combo but I wouldn’t rely on it too much. The recovery on block is terrible especially on a full charge, it leaves him wide open. In high level play Marco is all about high/low/throw mixups pretty much. When it comes to playing good keep away characters it can be a pain, but you always want to stay on top of the opponent.
As for Garou getting less play I dont know about that, people online still play it a lot. It isn’t super popular like 3S and the KoF games but it still gets a good amount of play. Japan still holds weekly tournaments for it so there is still interest for the game there. As for the US well there isn’t much going on it tournament wise, besides maybe FRXII coming up. The whole goal of this thread was to gather more interest in the game and I think it has done a good job so far. I’m just hoping more new players or even regulars start to notice the games potential at a competative level.
