Yeah the game is picking up quite well over here. We have to be aware that EU is way more experienced in this game than us if anything. So we need to step it up fast!:3
Well that’s good to hear it’s not dying then =]
Sad thing about Garou is that it gets alot of praise but few is willing to play it serious.
I know, right!? What’s up with that!? :xeye:
The problem is players dont see enough of others playing it enough, to consider taking time to play it. If there isn’t enough competition for the game offline then everyone just doesn’t take it serious enough. That is just how things work, at least here in the US.
Yeah I guess that is the case, it’s also why it makes it hard to get new serious players. Which makes it important for people who wants a bigger Garou scene to come to events and show that there are people playing this competitive.
I seriously wish I had the funds to go to all the majors and play with everyone that wants to play. Though with me doing college and the way the economy has been as of late it’s difficult for me. I always go to EVO though, which is a good spot to hit even though it’s also hard for others to go there.
I know his mix up is good but I thought butts standard shoto+ backdash keep away was more than respectable aswell.
You could play him in that style but I think his offensive style is more rewarding than his keep away style. Then again everyone has their preference when using a character, but I prefer his rushdown/aggressive style of play.
Could you provide a few vids of good Marco players please?
Look for Marco matches with Koba in them his Marco is pretty good. There are a couple of other Marco players vids I’ve uploaded from many of the TRF tournaments. I’ll see if I can find specific good Marco’s using all his tools.
Ok finally got this on the comp and am rdy to spend the next few months on it. Be on the lookout!! ;-p

I list the characters featured in the vids so it makes it easier to reference.
Btw Noc do TRF host the files up for download anywhere? If so whats the link dude?
Thanks
They dont have direct downloads only place they put videos is on nicovideo.jp now. There are many methods to getting the videos off nicovideo but I use a specific site that lets me download them as .flv files. Though like I mentioend before, it’s a lot of work trying to cut the videos into 10 min parts, so I can upload them on youtube. If only youtube would let me upload longer than 10 min vids it would be a lot easier to upload them.
I watch your videos they are very informative.
I’m going make a new custom garou.I’ve done it before and its worked successfully. I record the matches so them.
You talking about custom music or color edits?
I’m talking about custom music.I’ve already made one custom.
So I need some help on the Grant matchup. His jump D seems like it has just god like priority and beats all my air to airs, his dash move seems like it’s safe on block even though I thought it wasn’t, and I can’t even get near him most of the time. I mainly use Tizoc and Jae so any info on them would be great.
PS2 or DC?
p
Grants jump :snkd: has a lot of range yes and you have to watch out for it whenever possible. There are a couple of air to airs that trade or beat it out depending on the angle they hit. Grants dash with :qcf: + :snkb: isn’t safe on block, unless it hits from it’s last hit frame, but even then it’s risky. His :qcf: + :snkd: is safe on block but has a slower start up animation, that is how you can tell which version they are using on you. If you are using Jae you shouldn’t have too many problems versus Grant. You have to stay on top of him and watch out when Grant has meter as well. You can counter Grant’s dash specials with anyones :d: + :snka: + :snkb: if you know it’s coming. This match up for Tizoc can be tough depending on how good the Grant player is but over all it’s a hard match. You have to stay on top of Grant but at the same time by patient agains’t what he is doing. Tizoc’s jump :snkd: should be able to trade or beat out Grant’s jump :snkd:, since Tizoc has one of the longest range jump :snd:'s in the game.
