Just found out that TRF is now showing the Garou MOTW tournaments through live feed here:
http://www.stickam.jp/profile/momisage
They tend to mostly show SF4 then switch over to Garou for the tournaments on Saturdays. So that means you have to check tune in to this site during late Fri early Sat to watch the feed. I’ll keep this thread posted the next time the feed is up.
i know those pics from a game i own. no, i dont own motw2.
can someone clarify the going-ons in this video? I’m trying to do the Butt combo @ 3:50, but I can never get the P Power to come out in time after the TOP move. I’m playing an MVS cart, so I’m curious if someone could identify which version of the game this is using, or if it’s one of those bootleg roms.
I really want to hit this combo.
The combo goes:
On Freeman in the corner while in TOP mode: jump in :snkb:, :snka:, land, stand :snkd:, :dp: + :snka: into break (:snka: + :snkb:), TOP attack (:snkc: + :snkd:, the last hit should whiff of the TOP attack), as he drops so his waist is around Marco’s head height do :qcf:x3 + :snkc: then press :snkc: rapidly.
What you need to know is the :dp: + :snka: is what causes the TOP attack to whiff on the last hit. If you use the :dp: + :snkc: version you’ll never get the TOP attack to whiff on the last hit. The tricky part is getting the :qcf:x3 + :snkc: into press :snkc: quickly to land to get the full hits for more damage. You can see in the video that Freeman’s waist/belt is around Marco’s head height as he drops then the super activates. If for some reason the :dp: + :snka: tends to not launch them in the air. Then try doing the jump in :snkb:, :snka: deeper or hold foward as you land when doing stand :snkd: to help out.
I also wanted to note that the combo itself is really risky if you miss the :qcf:x3 + :snkc: tap :snkc: rapid super. If you miss time it you’ll be wide open for the opponent to counter into their combo easy. Instead you can use his :qcf:x2 + :snkd: super which does a bit less damage but you’ll always land it easier.
Well that right there was my problem, I find it so damn hard to break the A version, he’s gotta have one of the hardest break moves in the game. Thanks for the post, I’m gonna keep at it, even if I can only manage to use his DP P Power, I’ll be content because it is a kick ass combo.
Fuckin Noc, you’re the man. You know this right?
When you combo into the dpA, its very easy to break. Breaking the thing on its own, but since you’re sD, into it, right when it hits, just hit AB.
On hit/block the breaks are easier so I dont see why it’s harder to break than the :snkc: version. If it’s hard for you just practice in training mode on blocking opponents and on hit as well to get the feel of it.
I wish, just once, you would acknowledge my man-love for you. :wgrin:
No homo? =?
I ordered this the other day for PS2 and will finally get around to playing it for the first time; so this thread should come in really handy. I’m far behind the curb, I know, but at least i’ll get to see what all the fuss is about.
heey was up guys, i been playing this on ggpo mostly since i get serius beat downs in the other games, this game is fun :woot:
By the way: how to you select the secret bosses in arcade mode what is the trick?
Grant - highlight Dong, then go to random(start) then up, up, down, down, up, down
Kain - highlight Jae, then go to random(start) then down, down, up, up, down, up
And don’t let go off start before you’ve selected them, or else you’ll have to make the cheat again.
I was going to say that I had already posted the method of picking Grant and Kain the very first post. I’m glad people are picking up the game still thoguh :woot:
