Is there a way to know when Marco’s uppercut won’t knockdown?
Depends on the distance your at when you do his uppercut and if it’s the :snka:/:snkc: version uppercut. It’s better to use the :snkc: uppercut since it tends to go in a bit more than the :snka: version. Unless your trying to land his uppercut version in the corner to land the :qcf: + :snkb: into kick super follow up. Mostly mid screen you want to use the :c: version so it will always knockdown.
do you have any tips for doing hotaru’s cl. C feint cr. C into punch super? i can do it with kevin but hotaru’s fireball keeps coming out. no matter what i try.
Ive been playing this game online alot recently now that I got my 2df working. Ive seen the videos you posted Noc but is there any secret to get multiple st.D with hokutomaru, I do the cancel asap, but I can never seem to run far enough to get another one… is it just a thing you relaly have to practice? would you even recommend trying it?
It’s good for the added damage but if you tend to drop it I wouldn’t rely on it a lot. It’s better to just go for a knockdown into wake up mixup instead. It does require a bit of practice to get multi run/dash in FC loops with most of the characters. Though once you get the timing it gets easier everytime. Online it can be harder with the every now and than lag spikes/delay. I would just say take some time in practice mode and practice it till it’s second nature.
Ahh cool thanks. I’ll just go practice it, before I was doing the wrong feint… but now I know the right one to do, so hopefully it’ll get easier.
You can only do this in corner, and you have to use front + AC feint. Don’t go too early on the 2qcf or else you may turn the cr C into a qcf C then the fireball. Timing is pretty cool though so don’t rush.
FMR> yeah, use the down + AC feint and it’ll get easier
Both feints can work it just depends on which one makes it easier for you to FC with mostly.
Using down + AC will harden the combo anyway, I didn’t think EmptyShiki was looking for this
Whatever, check this out
Two of our french players, zkirua and marco-sama, are back from a summer trip in Japan where they met and fought the top notch Jap players, and also created bounds with people they found to be very nice, understanding, helpful, cheerful… too many compliments to list 'em all in fact ^^
Most of the sessions they had have been recorded \o/
First serie of videos have been rec’ed at alpha station.

Have fun, let us know the feedback here or on the forum (url in my signature) :
Man I need some anti B.Jenet strats with Dong. Dumb ho is doing my head in :looney:
Btw Good stuff timmytheturtle. Is is not possible to mirror those nico vids on youtube somehow. I’ve made a nico account numerous times but everytime I log out and try to log back in it wont recognise my password.
Oh snappers =O

I already knew about the French players going to Japan since I already saw the tournament where they did the commentary in French. Also for those that don’t have nico accounts you can just use this site:

You can watch any of the nico videos linked here with it easy. I was planning to upload them on youtube as well but have been busy with school lately.
Atb- What problems do you have exactly agains’t Jenet?
Its mainly her dive kick shenanigans from awakeward angles midscreen, if I block Im screwed same for if I try to retailiate afterwards, if I try to hit her out while she’s airbourne I get stuffed especially true if she’s close by. Also corner rapage.
It’s hard to JD cos I think the game slows down a bit when she does her dive kicks, could of been the lag but it was a fairly smooth connection.
if your at the right distance backdashing should work, other than that predicting it and GC or dragon punch are probably your best options. jding it is kinda difficult i probably cant do it without practice.
The thing with Jenet is if you time her dive kick just right it’s almost impossible to punish it. The only thing that could work though is maybe a reversal DP with Dong but it’s very risky. Your best bet is to either jump early to beat out her dive kick attempt or JD the dive kick hits into GC on the 3rd hit. The problem with the JDing it though is Jenet players will do the 4th hit of the dive kick if they see you JD the first 3. So if they do the 4th hit as you try to GC off the 3rd hit you will get counter hit clean. So it’s best to JD the hits and see what she tries after as she lands. If they don’t space out the first 3 hits so she has the advantage you can throw her after you JD the hits.
You can also try dashing under her as she does her dive kicks to punish her from behind easier. Also dont be afraid to air grab with Dong ( jump :snkc:) as his air grab is good for catching opponents from the air. Another thing you do is GC off the first hit of Jenet’s dive kick with Dong’s :dp: + :snka:/:snkc: into break. This will make them think twice about doing the dive kick so reckless during a match. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks man I’ll keep this info in mind next time.
found out that hotaru can guard crush fairly easily, if they block 2 decent strings and you jab into top attack
they don’t even turn red and she can guard crush with that top attack.
the link into kick super(only possible followup i think) after the guard crush is pretty difficult but i was doing it consistently in practice mode.
i guess if you don’t care about eating the opponents biggest combo i guess you could top attack to head start it aswell…
here are my calculations
it takes 17 jabs to guard crush terry(haven’t tested if its the same for everyone) top attack does 7, and special moves and command normals do 2 heavy attacks do a like 1.2 down b in the air does 3.
well i have no idea how practical this is and i don’t know how fast the guard crush “meter” recovers.
cancel most of this stuff, the link doesn’t exist its just practice mode characters set on block still like to eat supers.
Nocturnal , thanks for the link:) game is just perfect:) (puzikospuzikos)
The guard meter is smallest with low stamina charas like Hoku, Hotaru… and biggest with Griffon, Grant… Don’t have the exact data
very very old photos Garou 2, may, after KoF 12 office SNK re-live this excellent in all respects series:)
