Alright, I finally managed to do Jenet’s break move, but I keep failing with Dong Hwan… strange
How do you manage a normal cancel (not feint) ? With Dong Hwan or Jenet
Damn I’ve tried stand +C followed by down +AC with all the characters but it never worked even once : there’s no interruption of the HP animation
I dont get it, I’m not disabled, how come I can’t pull out such an easy combination ? Could someone upload a vid showing the button taping and the action on the screen please, maybe like this I’d figure out what’s going wrong…
Quick thing to note on doing a feint cancel w/ Dong’s stand close :snkc: is only the first hit of it is cancellable; you need to do the feint before the second hit of it comes out.
I’m not quite setup yet for a webcam with it to show my hands, but I could set my gear up and go live on my ustream channel later to show what some things look like in-game. My mics are kind of sensitive, so you may be able to hear the sounds of my button presses. Let me know.
This is the closest thing I could find to what you are asking for but it still might be hard to understand just by looking at it:
Let me ask this. Are you using a stick, a pad or keyboard? If anything just try doing this. Do stand :snkc: on the dummy. As soon as stand :snkc: hits you then should press and hold :d: + :snka: + :snkc: or :f: + :snka: + :snkc:. Just hold it down. If you did it correctly you should see the stand :snkc: cancelled into the feint animation afterwards. Just keep practicing that till it becomes second nature. Once you can start doing then you can start cancelling the feint animation into another normal attack. You can try this with Hotaru: stand :snkc:, FC, :d: + :snkc: once you are adjusted to the feint cancel timing. Again all I can really say for now is to keep practicing. It still sounds like you are doing it too slow. That or maybe you aren’t pressing the buttons in the correct sequence somehow. If you still have problems I can make a simple video showing my hands doing basic feint cancels if needed.

Really ? I prefer it to the original square one, personally … but even if it isn’t top grade quality, I should still be able to pull out simple moves like cancels, I mean how hard is it to press down+A+C at the same time ?? Maybe I’m playing on a bootleg or prototype without even knowing 
Anyway if you can come up with a tutorial vid for feint cancels, it would mean a hell of a lot to me, because right now my learning curve in this game is at a dead spot

There’s another weird thing, this time regarding break moves : I manage Jenet’s break easily but I can’t do Dong Hwan’s, although I do as instructed (shoryuken move followed by A+B)… do some of you experience the same problem with him ?
I think Jenet’s break seems easier because you have some time between when you input the move and when you hit :snka:+:snkb: (you don’t have to hit the break command until she’s about to land from the ‘hop’). In contrast, with Dong’s break you have to hit :snka:+:snkb: almost immediately after you input the move.
Hey I managed to break Dong Hwan’s move, but only by pressing A+B+C at the same time, not even A+B immediately after C, I had to press the 3 butons simultaneously with the shoryuken move:xeye:

But to be bluntly honest, this is exactly what I’ve been doing… but for some reason its not working for me, so I tried to do it on an emulator (Nebula) with a Saitek pad and it still doesn’t work either, so there’s got to be a problem with me
Damn I’ve been trying to feint cancel for more than an hour now, but with no success as usual… I’m really thinking of quiting 'cause I’ve had it with this game… to think I paid 130 € for this game and it won’t even allow me to do one of the most basic moves… I really feel dejected
You shouldn’t give up so easy. Things take practice to master. You don’t just become a pro at a game overnight. Also great job on the video jt4mtb. I might still try to make something similar but maybe with the stick at a slightly different angle. I’ll probably just got over basic feint cancels and breaks if anything or basic BnB for those still learning.
