Ultra 2 is definitely not so good against shotos compared to U1.
The threat of U2 is not as good as the threat of J.HK -> U1 and EX Messiah Kick -> U1.
For people who want to U2 against Ryu, you can punish blocked sweep with U2. If no U2, just sweep. Old info but it’s things I tend to forget when I don’t play against too many good Ryu’s
yeah, vs Ryu use U1…after knockdown you have a 50/50 chance to land S.O.S. thats def better than waiting for them to use hadoken…U2 is more about IF, whereas U1 is all about WHEN.
At max range punishing with sweep isnt possible due to range, cr. hp punish is possible but it’s a 1 frame punish, I’m sure you knew this since it looks like you tried it in that video but just putting it out there for others.

Your Rufus is really solid. I don’t have much to say to help you 
Just want to say that the Guile player seems really good. His zoning was on point against you and when you got in, he basically put you into 50/50 situation where he either Flash kicked or didn’t. Only thing I could think of to neutralize that is DELAY option select tech after cross dive kick. Also you didn’t punish a sweep, but that is something I know you already know lol. I’ll probably look at the match again to check for anything else.
I actually played Rebelo before. It was a bad connection (Louisiana-Canada) but was still playable to a point. Dirtiest Guile I ever played. Dirtiest = Best. But then I don’t get to play any Top Guile players. lol

Hey Kourck. Since your safe jump vids are broken up it would probably be a good idea to make a master list of sorts for character specific safe jump set ups. They’ve helped me a lot so far.
Was the Rufus record the same record for all three situations? Or is the last one just an option select while the others just a safe jump fierce?
The last one is a separate recording, but only because I thought to include it after I had already recorded the first two. It also safe jumps against Ryu’s DP, that is to say, if Ryu DPs instead of backdashing you just block (which didn’t make much sense to me, but that’s what happened).
It makes sense if your option select ultra comes out a few frames after you hit the floor. So it’s in between the 3 frame dp and during the 4th (or 5th,6th,etc) frame of the back dash.

Some things I know myself is that I missed my bnb way too often, I wasted meter by doing a super against Adon and I did a few predictable messiahs >_>.
I wouldn’t really say that was a waste of meter, you just needed to do enough damage to be able to kill him with an U2, that was really the only way you were going to win the match considering how well adon can chip.

It was pretty funny seeing people complain about you in the chat. “Damn look at the divekick spam!” Of course, the fact that recognizing your opponent doesn’t know how to deal with and counter something and exploiting it wasn’t part of the picture.
Yeah. When I read those comments, it enticed me to do moar dive kicks. LOL.
Dive kicks are the nature of the character. Can’t live with em can’t live without em. The dive kicks are what make Rufus what he is. Without dive kicks Rufus isn’t even a character. Not everyone agrees that a character should be almost solely based around coming in and out of your attacking range with unseeable dives but that’s Rufus. It’s not like people don’t complain about basically every other character in the game.
With that…good games Ranma. My C.Viper only did slightly better against your Rufus than my Ibuki did (I was really more so trying to train Ibuki in that match) so that just goes to show I just need more experience against the character. Very few people play Rufus where I live so it’s good practice for fighting other Rufus’ in the future. We’ll definitely have to play more because I don’t want to have placing high in a tournament result in whether or not I ran into a decent Rufus. LOL. Rufus definitely beats both of those characters on paper but I definitely fight other tough matchups for them better than Rufus.
I’m going to put some of our matches up on my YouTube so I can go over stuff and if anyone else wants to add in that’d be cool too. I got that one match also where u played Dudley and I command dashed through your ultra and caused the ultra to glitch out. LOL.
