General Casshern Information/Combos

Some Casshern/Polymar stuff

Has anyone ever tried to use this as a reset? Basically, after the stagger from a 236b, you hit them with a jab and then cancel that into the overhead jumping knee attack and then keep the combo going using an assist. I’m not sure if it is actually useful, but it can lead to some good damage.

I could see that being useful as a once-in-a-blue-moon sort of tool. I wouldn’t use it often though. Hits with Casshern are hard to come by, and I’d argue you’re best off getting as much damage as possible with the hits you do get, 'cause even though getting a hit can be a bitch he does half-health damage on average… throw some Baroque and meter in there and you’re looking at some stupid high damage combos.

Yeah, I usually just go for the hardest hitting combo I can when I get a hit. But I was bored and was looking for something to use if I ever want to try something fancy.

I like to pair Cass with tekkaman because the chop and knee hit them up perfectly for tekkas assist. Cass’s Chop also helps me combo into tekka level 3

Anyway, pretty simple casshern combo with no baroque or assist. requires 3 specials, No Baroque or Regular Assist

5A, 5B, 2B,5C (both hits) 236B, 2B,3C, Jump, A, B, 236C, 236ABC, D (Double special), 63214B Did just over 32B

the 236ABCD is backwards. the idea being you catch the opponent on the ground behind you and lift him up. Tekka’s super pushes him out for more damage and lasts long enough so that you can call a B Friender for a last hit.

I keep trying to get the opponent higher in the air with a double jump but every time I try, the opponent lands to far behind me for the specials to pick him up off the ground and work. When you finish the grandioso kick which should land high so the opponent is near you, the opponent has to land close to you in order to work. Its why its easier to practice against a wall but is very doable in the open. Its also why I cant seem to combo right when the opponent gets to high after a double jump. If somebody could recreate it so that You can combo into the specials properly after a double jump and a few more hits I would be very impressed and would want to see.

Sorry, I’m bad at annotation. ABCD means Cassherns special and Tekka’s special. (Double special) (Cassherns special takes them off the ground and tekkas pushes them out and lasts long enough for friender) . I don’t really know how to do annotations very well.

Here’s a new combo I found… (corner only)
Requires Alex (or any other assist that grants you an extra hit), 1 bar for BBQ, 1 bar for special (optional)

2A, 5B, 2B, 5C(2h), 236B,
2A, 5B, 2B, 5C(2h), 236B, BBQ,
2A, 5B, 2B, 5C(2h), 236B~P,
2A, 5B, 2B, 5C(2h), 3C, jump,
j.A, j.A, j.B, j.B, jump cancel, j.B, j.C, land, 623AB

Free BBQ: 34.6k
10% BBQ: 37.7k

It’s a sort of “wall loop”, I guess. It was tested on Ryu. If anyone figures out how to land the Flying Drill after the jump, please, let me know. :]

why not use C denko in place of the B version after the first? It’s not like they’re gonna be grounded after the initial stagger and BBQ’d C denko (uncharged, natch) will do the same thing as the B version here, but with more damage

and C drill kick probably doesn’t work either because of how you time the air combo or the fact that hitstun scales do much by the time you get to the point in that combo

You can use C Denkou the second and third time around, but the timing on the Partner call changes a bit, so go with whichever’s easier for you. Not much increase in damage anyway… Does 38k at 10% BBQ.

Good thing about this combo is you can still do one of the loops if you’re missing either Alex or red life…so it’s still pretty good damage.

Flying drill can’t combo, but you don’t need it anyway. When you land from j.C you can combo 623+A/B/C xx 623 super. It does more damage.

Which is totally awesome, then. I’ll have to check that out.

edit 2: Trying to do the Energy Chop (623A/B/C) after the j.C but it seems impossible. Either that, or the timing is extremely strict, which I’m not risking in a match…lol. I’ve been able to do it after regular air combos, but can’t seem to pull it off after the corner loop.

edit 3: I was corrected; it isn’t a loop, just an extended combo of the sorts. :wink:

I found this cute little AA meme image that Casshern players might appreciate.

The denku unblockable reset is possible with Megaman assist as well. I’m 90% certain it works with Chun assist… the opponent can’t superjump out of her setup at least, but dragon punches and supers might beat out her set up.

Can you still pushblock the ‘unblockable’?

So cash has one of the unscaled grab combo/glitch thingy. You can only do it off a forward air throw and if the opp is high in the air, like super jump distance.

So if you want to test it out in training mode:
-set dummy to super jump
-super jump after 'em
-forward air throw
-j.236A
-land, 623+AB

does around 20k.

That actually sounds pretty cool. I always thought the only way to combo off of air grabs afterward was to DHC into an OTG super. Seems like Casshern is the only one we’ve seen so far who can do a decent solo damaging combo off an air throw!

Yesterday, I was messing around with Casshern w/Soki assist combos. If you time 5C, assist, 63214B, Soki’s assist will hit, but Friender will grab onto the opponent as if he/she hasn’t left the ground!

that sounds similar to the other Casshern/Soki glitch. Did you happen to note which character you picked first?

Timing for Unblockable Lightning Punch :

After you KO your opponents first character the body (of the opponents first character) kind of bounces on the ground. On that second bounce is when you should start up the charge. No need to worry about setting up fire dogs or assists when you tag them with the move as soon as they pop out.
