from what i can tell anybody with a assist that keeps people grounded like ryu, i’m using ryu and with him you can do his ground combo 3 times with bbq and assist.
ryu and morrigan are probably the best assists for casshern, you can use them for both combo filler and rushdown support
combine them with iad dj airdash and friender support to get in on tough opponents. morrigan’s harder to learn, but everyone can play ryu so he’s probably the easier choice. i’ll do some testing with ryu’s assist and see if anything about it’s different from morrigan’s (i.e. less stun, etc.)
Tested the Denkou loop with Ryu assist, it works fine but the timing’s a little different than if you have a Morrigan assist. Still beastly though o;

little combo i did today. 2A,5b,5c,launcher A,B dj B,C tigerknee 236 A XX Geiser super. Only got twice today. Instead of doing 236 A you can do 623 C XX Geiser super.
Been fooling around with Yatterman-2 assist, since I usually play Morrigan with Casshern and I wanted a little variety.
2A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 236A. bbq, 2A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 236B, dashing 5A, 2A, 2B, 5C, P, dashing 5A, 2A, 2B, 5C, launcher, j.aabb, dj, j.bc, 623C, 623AB
I was screwin around with Casshern and Soki as partners in the UAS version, found a nice combo I want to screw around with more. Requires them to be on the wall, baroque (I was doing it with 10% in training mode), 1 special bar, and some good timing. Starting it with the 2a or 5a is up to you.
2a or 5a, 5b, 2b, 5c > D as soon as you start the 5c > j. 236a (You can just do the lightning punch too, they both move you close enough to start the medium punches again and not whiff. The kick looks better though), Baroque right after you hit/ during your landing animation, 5b, 2b, 5c (Let only the first hit make contact to reduce damage scaling), 2c, 623a, 623a+b or c
Probly could 0-death it on anyone with as much health as Ryu with +20% Baroque, easily. lol
I think if you let the last 5c land both hits before tripping them, it gives enough time for your assist to come back and do a double hyper combo. Forget what it’s called. /:
any tips on being able to land Casshern’s BnB? A,B, 2B, C ->whatever you want?
His jab isn’t anything special, rather slow and no range, and his 2B can still be blocked with a standing block so there’s no mixup at all. So what are some setups to be able to get the combo going? I know B Friender is one way, but anything else?
The weird Casshern/Souki glitch combo’s still in the game. To refresh your memories:
2C xx 623 C xx 623 team super, wait until the opponent falls from Souki’s super, 63214+B, follow up B Dog with whatever the hell you want.
Once again, this combo doesn’t work if you select Souki first at the character select screen, for whatever reason.
I’ve been attempting to use Joe the Condor as my partner to Cassh, and its actually been turning out pretty good. Although either of them could be pointmen.
I’ve been running this as well but i’m not really seeing the synergy. Neither assist seems to help the other, or if they do i sure haven’t found much yet. Cash can’t cover joe’s ship super(If it’s even worth using), the assists are both a mess to combo for either character outside of the corner, and I haven’t found any Variable Air Combo stuff that adds to either characters total output. I’m probably missing a lot but if this is a good team it’s certainly not immediately obvious.
All that said it’d be awesome if someone can find something. So far all i’ve noticed is that there might be potential for someone with better fingers if they can combo off A/B/C Knee, P. in the corner or the right setup it might not need BBQ, although i’m not really sure where you’d want to spend it having already blown your assist.
EDIT:
Ok so i think Joe/cash has more potential if simply because VAR combo’s reset scaling, and cash has some nasty ground damage while joe can do evil things in the air. I think in better hands a decent VAR should lead to full healths with one bar.
Also i’m not sure how useful it is but cash’s B knee can combo into Joes assist in the corner, and cash can combo out of it from there without wasting BBQ. Not sure if you can combo to the knee and do it, but it seems possible. At the very least it leaves cash with a way to pressure with his overheard knee and not waste his BBQ.
hey guys, I got a question. My bnb with cassh lately has been 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 236B, 5B, 2B, 3C launch, j.A, j.A, j.B, j.B, double jump, j.B, 236C, land in corner 623A+B(usually do team super with soki)
So while the team super is going I use B dog. So what i really want to know is what should I do after B dog that works and does good damage with no bbq? many thanks
unless something’s changed, you forgot to mention that this is corner only. That’s basically his old combo from CGOH, except nerfed
Not sure if anyone knows about it, since I haven’t checked it much. But you can do a j.B after a 236A bbq.
You can do a J.C after the a denkou punch BBQ, i thnk its better then the BnB we have now
Usually a J.C whiffs and you land behind them when you try it in the corner, unless you are further back from them.
But J.C works mid-screen.
Ive had no trouble with j.C at any part of the screen

This is pretty simple, the only part I could see being a little tricky for someone is during Morrigan’s j.214C; she must cancel before the last hit, the combo counter should be at 26 hits when you cancel into 421AB. This was tested with 10% BBQ, works fullscreen. Enjoy
