In a perfect world, what would 3SOE have been like? There was so much potential in that release and it’s a fucking travesty. This is what it could have been:
1 to 1 experience that is exactly like the arcade version but with minor bug fixes.
GDLK online and good enough to play the Japanese.
In depth training mode that displays frames, hitboxes, and advanced dummy recording (I.E. set to random jump in HK, or random Parry, etc).
And… Er… NG and 2I backgrounds I guess?
But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. We get Stun Gun trials, deviant art shit, achievements, and music from 2I that doesn’t even loop properly.
Stages from NG/2I would have been great. They’re all beautiful and have some of the best design I’ve seen in 2D fighting game stages. It’s a shame they get to be forgotten.
The search for a match by region will be pretty cool. Although it can segregate some of the userbase into sections. It still solves a problem on the Xbox side.
Think about it, ufcgym will be stuck in someone’s unlucky region and everyone else is free from his grasp, finally. But if we’re all allowed to choose regions and aren’t just placed in our own, lookout for what region he picks to bother people.
& finally unlocking better bitrates on the youtube channel. 360p only? but still an improvement overall from what it is now.
If Chun and the twins were tall enough (when crouching) that shoto stand strong would never whiff over their heads, would it change any of the matchups in a notable way?
If their crouching hitbox wasn’t so short, it would alleviate some problems with the matchup. Specifically jumping in and landing certain combos.
I know Alex’s jHP has to be spaced and timed very specifically in order to catch a crouching Chun and Dudley could land stHK EX MGB combos on a crouching Chun too.
Without getting into specifics it would change some characters punishment options off of a low parry and prevent them from abusing down parry at certain ranges. It would also negate Chun li’s lack of a wakeup standing frame.
yah. who cares.
there are a lot of people who watch his videos. if people see him enjoying 3S a lot then maybe they will take it more seriously and get into the game.
