If you want, I actually have top panel lookalike designs for most Sega cabs fora good number of retail arcade sticks. From the good old Versus and Astro cities, to stuff like the Megalo 50 and Megalo 410.

I think it’s a definite positive for the community. people really dig this stuff and both seem like cool guys. if people want long term sustainability for the American community stuff like this can’t hurt and maybe it inspires a few guys to keep playing or pick it up.
Actually, if you can, I’d like the Versus and Astro City panel designs for… I guess the TE would be best. I’ll have to adapt it so it’ll fit my stick anyway.
*Edit: Nevermind, actually. I found your website and jacked the TE template. I modified it to fit the template for the stick I’m getting and I changed the logo text a little bit.
Question: would you guys get into an awesome 3S clone that played almost exactly like 3S but for minor differences like no UOH and possibly 4 button over 6 button?

The only reason to play something else would be, bigger community more evenly distributed and a closer offline v online experience.
otherwise why? 3S is a total package, its not about just components of the gameplay.

I would, if only because I always like seeing new 2D fighters. Especially sprite-based fighters.
Yeah, Garou had a few of the same ideas, but *compltely *different execution due to being an SNK game. I think that if Garou had better animation and a little bit larger roster, it could have stayed up there with 3S. I do consider Garou to be my favorite SNK fighter, though.
Garou’s balance makes Chun/Yun/Ken look low tier by comparison.
He mentioned 4 buttons instead of 6, I thought he was doing an elaborate troll.
Yatagarasu isn’t going to catch on… Sorry, but it’s going to get the Skullgirls treatment but with at least some of its dignity left in tact.

I wasn’t referring to Yata (they have to fix the Parry system first) but I could see making that assumption. Don’t be sure about dignity, the weaboos voted for some kawaii character in the 3rd character spot.
Honestly; my idea for a 3S clone would essentially keep the mechanics the same, probably remove UOH, but have even more unique characters and perhaps Samurai Shodown-styled fatalities. But there’s a fine line between unique and gimmicky so I dunno.
