Scratch that, I’ll let players play whoever as long as for solo teams with 2 different characters they follow the rule to play with both characters.
@rcaido: Sorry, I missed that last part of your post a page back when you said you’d join this tournament. I’ll slot you in during the next update where NLP OU is, since he has to drop out due to time constraints. Would have been awesome to have him and his Dhalsim participate this week. A few things I would like to mention:
When you’re not busy doing anything, take the time to read the info page on some of the rules and frequently asked questions. It’ll be constantly updated just to smooth out some bumps, but things will mostly remain the same. I don’t want to have to argue with players over why this and that should be done because that and this happened. Misunderstandings happen all the time, and as such will be dealt in a fair manner.
That being said, Team ER Commander/AeroRockman and Team vegetabroly needs to have a final tie-breaker rematch; Decide who will play vegetabroly for the win amongst yourselves and invite me into the room so that I can spectate. If I’m not available at the time, invite someone who is NOT on your team but is IN this week’s tournament to spectate.
Seeing as how much I can screw up as indicated by my overlooking of two contestant entries, I am looking for any volunteers that would like to be part of my management team. If interested, drop me a PM or use the suggestion box as located on the top right corner of the site. There’s no reward, except credit for doing your job and appreciation by me amongst others, haha. Yeah, record what you can, when you want. I’m hoping for the recordings to be tournament related matches though. If you don’t mind doing that once in a while and uploading it on youtube or somewhere. I was planning on making a new page on the site with distinctive personnel and their details to kind of promote a team to run things more smoothly.
A note to all fellow tournament players of this week:
Some of you are still confused at how the match ups are suppose to be played. I stated in a few posts that the match ups are pre-arranged, that the corresponding pictures are your match ups. However, you can play it in any order as long as you provide the score and characters for the match played. Don’t forget the other rules about character changes though.
Not to try and start any controversy BUT…I see something like this only causing some problems and more drama this week lol. What I see happening are the one man teams just picking whatever character is better against their matchup which is an unfair advantage to the 2 man teams. Am I making any sense here?
I see your point. If that’s what you’re worried about, I will set up a vote on the front page of the site later. Voting will be closed at 6PM EST/3PM PST. The majority will decide how the rest is going to be played out.
I finally have a day off tomorrow and can get some matches done.
i don’t know if its the lack of sleep or what but…do we just play any team first. Whoever is online just like last week? So say, between me and Evoanon, we decide I am first, I see volt and ego online. I play whoever they decided was going to be first for their team then Evo plays the 2nd guy right? Then if it’s a tie, each team decides who is going to play the tie breaker right?
I think I am interpreting this right but unsure of who we play first.

For now the vote is in effect to determine how matches will be played. Either as the picture on the match ups page dictates, or the teams will freely decide who to play. As of now, teams are not to play each other until 6PM EST/3PM PST tomorrow. The only exception are the solo teams with duplicate characters, since it doesn’t matter who plays who they’re still going to be using the same character. The teams you can still fight while the voting is in effect is BaklaKiller, Tecmo NHC, Ryukolsei, vegetabroly.
Who/how/when/etc I play doesn’t mean anything to me but shouldn’t it be the right of the participants in the tourny to play/strategize any way they deem fit? Wouldn’t it unfair to cater to the 2-man teams?
