Anyone else from srk gonna hop online day1?
I don’t think I’ll ever wait till midnight for a game again. The last time I did I only got around 1-2 hours of playtime before I was too sleepy. Instead I’m going to pick it up right after class at 11am and play till Monday. :woot:
I won’t be able to pick up up til Tuesday and even then I won’t be able to play for a good solid amount of time until the next weekend.

Well I didn’t just play straight through cause I took breaks playing story. But I played it on hardcore starting out, so it probably took a lil longer than normal. I’m not totally sure but maybe about 8 hours or so I could be wrong though, I have to check. But story mode is crazy fun even without doing co op. I can’t wait to try co op though. Sadly it’s only 2 players… You are marcus and dom.
And yes it should get game of the year. Dead space is a contender though.

Yea gta4 as well. The co-train dude had me laughin so hard at some points. He’s the funniest.
Urgh, midnight launch tonight, but I have to get up for Uni at 4am. Sleep can die, but is 4 hours of Gears enough? :sad:
The game is definitely worth a purchase. If you aren’t good at the multi player you can practice with bots this time like Unreal Tournament.
Toys R Us is giving a $15 GC with purchase of the game this week.
Just read at Penny Arcade that they bought Gears of War 2 at 7-11. Yes, some locations sell games. I’m tempted to check mine to see if they’ll break release date, too.

Eh? My Toys R us is offering the card on release date which is why I’m getting it there. Double check the weekly ad but I don’t think they change this kind of thing.

Horde mode HYPE is making me buy this game day 1. I never planned on doing it either.
I just picked up my copy, playing this cool training mode to try and get used to some new things.
So how much am I missing out if I don’t finish the first game first? I hear the story isn’t that great, but I’m here for the death and destruction. I’m planning on going to Best Buy tonight for a midnight release to pick it up.
