The matchmaking in this game is retarded. Why can’t I play the game type and level I chose? It took an hour just to play one game of execution last night.

The gameplay itself is way better then GOW1 though.

The best way i can sum up gears is like going from SoR2 to SoR3. It was just an upgrade, but a very very good one. They added more of what people wanted (better controls, more action, fights with brumacks and other huge locusts), and it was just an overall really good sp experience.

Don’t you mean SoR1 to SoR2? 3 was only MAYBE just as good as 2. Unless you’re not referring to streets of Rage.

Also, I think that’s a pretty good analogy personally. Sure there’s guns n stuff, but the game progresses in sections just like it and has a very arcade-like feel to it.

orochiizoolander : In any multi torque is an instant kill dude, it has’nt changed since gow1. I think your confusing it with the the cpu uses it on you in horde or story mode, it wont kill u just make you bloody red. PvP matches, u torque it sticks, they die, unless that random glitch is still in this one where it stick explode and dosent do a damn thing.

My personal favorite was Baird’s dialogue after Cole Train spoke on the speaker phone.

I just recently found out they still have the weapon slide glitch and the rodie run glitch. The roadie run glitch is map specific and I don’t really care about that one but the weapon slide is really crucial when campers just aim at a power weapon. I’m going to try it out once I get home but It’s pretty easy to do. There’s also some crazy backflip glitch but I don’t know how to do it yet.

Wow mlg official gametype is horrible execution?? I hate execution. The chainsaw was really pissing me off today, I got cut in half so many times while I was blasting the dude. One time I even had the mini troika and was lighting him up, he just charged through like colossus with hyper armor.

Anyway, matchmaking is a bit slow, but not too bad. I really like the voting system to get a better game. Feel free to add me, I need gears friends to play with. Gamertag is UnrivaledKilla. Peace

Hilarious. One of the things that I don’t understand is that after a match, win or lose, you have to wait like 20+ seconds till the game boots you. What the flip is that?! In the first Gears you could tap “a” or something and get outta there lickity split. I desperately need a wingman so add me if anyone is interested, Zim is an Alien.

Still though it needs patch now the chainsaw is too good and matchmaking can be a bitch.

I don’t know why people are having such a problem with the chain saw. I hardly ever get nailed by that shit.

^The problem is that sometimes if someone is running at you with it and you shott them multiple times with any weapon it doesn’t make them drop it and they just chainsaw you.

Guess I haven’t had that problem. Usually meleeing them gets them to drop the chainsaw and it seems the Melee range is bigger then the saws.

And I think anyone with half a brain can see why those rules are stupid.

That’s a good start so far I think. If you can’t see why Mortar, Lancer and Frags our gone I really don’t know what to tell ya except you’ll be left to play GoW2 competitively with just your group of friends which is fine, the default game settings aren’t going to cut it for tournament play that’s for sure. :shake:

I also agree that it is incredibly annoying to have to look at the results screen for 25 seconds. You can’t even do anything from that screen. After every round I mash the buttons the entire time, hoping to find the secret combo to not looking at that shit.

Kyo84: My group from caliburforum played GoW1 clan matches through gamebattles. It was the biggest joke ever, prepare to be bitched out of rightfully earned victories. And no, I don’t mean in-game either. My advice, get a capture device and best of luck to you. Real talk.

As for GoW2, Havn’t finished Campaign. Beat Horde mode, with some friends over last weekend. Good times were had.

But I am simply sinking my teeth into MP and enjoying it alot. The party system really makes me smile, good thing Im pretty flexible when it comes to GoW2’s gametypes.

Man going across the ice lake is bs, it isnt even hard it is just stupid. Unless you know where to go you are going to die acouple of times just because the ice under you will go out without warning. Rest of it was cool though, Boss fight against the giant fish was rediculously easy. Gears 1 was like that though, once you knew the patterns the boss fights were easy.
