I’ve seen these types of lists before on Tz and on other character’s forums. Ill start the list with what i know about ken. List it in this format

Move that can be punished: (make sure to specify if its on block or hit, or both)
Move and strength used to punish opponent:
Ken Masters
D.Hk (Blocked) = Punished with a fierce hayate into whatever
D.Mk(whiff) = Can also be punished with a fierce hayate, this acually happens a lot in footsie games.
D.Mk (blocked) = Immediate SAI
Blocked Shippu = punish with karakusa (easy), s.Short xx Hayate (harder), s.Fierce->whatever (can get it guaranteed un-DP-able, but hardest)
EX FB = SA I
Makoto
D.Hp (blocked) = Fierce hayate into whatever
Gouki
D.Hk (Blocked) = Punished with a fierce hayate into whatever
D.Mk(whiff) = Can be punished with a fierce hayate while limb is retracting.
D.Mk (blocked) = Immediate SAI
Ryu
D.Hk (Blocked) = Punished with a fierce hayate into whatever
D.Mk(whiff) = Can be punished with a fierce hayate while limb is retracting
D.Mk (blocked) = Immediate SAI
Sean
D.Hk (Blocked) = Punished with a fierce hayate into whatever
D.Mk(whiff) = Can be punished with a fierce hayate while limb is retracting

Dudley
Ex MachineGunBlow (Blocked) = Fierce punch into fierce or EX hayate.
Yang
Second or third mantis slash (not EX) = SA I or d.lkxxhayate
If done right, this could help a ton , so that we dont just sit there like dummies when we could be punishing other people’s bullshit. Ill edit this post as new chars come in.
I am not 100% sure but I think:
Dudley: blocked ex mgb, punish with fierce xx ex hayate
Ryu, Akuma: blocked sa1, punish with short xx jab hayate
( if you block the sa1 in your corner you can karakusa them instead, but midscreen this is the best punish)
uhm, iirc, when i was a real noob, i kept on trying to punish blocked / wiffed Yang rollkicks (dunno da name) with s.FP xx EX hayate, but the s.FP always missed, so now i always karakusa first. was it just me? or does the recovery animation on that move put Yang in a crouch?
btw, any stuff to punish Oro’s pokes would be much appreciated =)
standing fierce will not hit recovering roll kicks from yang
it will also miss if u try to punish ibuki’s dp+k and oro’s charge shoryuken
it will also miss ken’s DP if u are too slow
if dudley just dumbly throws out cr. rh u can punish it as long as u were far enough awat to where u didn’t block it.
um can’t u punish ryu and ken’s hurricane kicks? akuma’s i don’t think u can.
by “the same” you mean after blocking both hits of Ken’s EX Hadouken or doing the same as with Shinkuu/Messatsu Gou Hadou? if it’s the latter, wouldn’t that knock Makoto down? 'cuz i’m thinking that the 2nd hit of Ken’s EX Hadouken knocks down.
damn, still a newb - I FUCKING HATE AKUMA’s Tatsu! Whenever i block low, it’ll cross me up and hit me from behind =s How do i avoid this? (Assuming that i’m already blocking low, and His RH Tatsu (Ground) is nearly over my head). should i just tap back ryt after he passes over (Perhaps get a parry)?
Kind of the wrong thread to ask in, but… if you see it coming, DP it and reset, stun, dead akuma…
I probably haven’t played against a “good” Akuma, but just be really patient with his random rushdown, get one karakusa, and kill him, plain and simple. He takes so much damage, and Makoto dishes out so much stun/damage that he can’t afford to mess up once.
evilryu, when i play akuma he usually likes to mk>tatsu. If u can low block the mk, switch to a high block right after and tatsu should not be a problem. Also, it couldnt hurt to go into training to get the parrying down for the tatsu.
