Gauranteed Damage! Makoto punishment list

well, this thread is about punishing shit people do :wink: Good stuff though. And yeah, i know, one fuckup from Akuma and he’s toast against Makoto. But GOOD Akumas can be DAMN hard ta catch with a karakusa… =s

anther thing: What can punish Yang slashes other than SA1?

if yang does regular slashes after the 2nd he can be punished. If he only does one slash or ex, i dont think he can be punished. But if he does two or three blocked slashes i always punish with lk, hayate . Havent really tested it to see if you could punish with fierce or strong yet. Dont play too many yangs.

For yang slashes, what that guy said… I havent had much luck punishing the second slash on block-- maybe im too slow or not experienced enough. I usually parry forward right after I block his c. lk/mk, and get something free… but after that they tend to mix things up… at least it stops them from spamming that garbage all day.

SA1 punishes all slashes

Only safe slash for Yang in this instance is a single jab Slash, he’s even safe from SA1 in this case. For every other strength+number of slashes, you can punish his recovery with SA1.

Something off topic, but any parried Mantis Slash equals at least a jab Fukiage for Makoto, but you can’t follow it up; her fist seems to hit the side of his head so that he gets knocked away instead of up. If you EX Fukiage, you get your follow up though.

this is all obvious stuff and maybe thats why its not up there in the first place but…

If I remember correctly, you can SAII Akuma after he throws an air fireball and Ibuki when she throws a shiruken, just as they land. You can also obviously punish shoto fireballs with SAII.

Most of the fp shoto shoryu’s put them right above you and you can do AP shoryu and follow up with j.fp/rh/axe kick.

I thought akuma’s rh tatsu was safe, but I usually do a c.lkxlp hayate after and it always connects so I’m assuming my opponent isn’t that dumb.

I think his lk/mk tatsus are superable. Also, some akuma’s use the hcb fireball to get close or mix-up but it has a hell of a long start up. You can super that really easy compared to the recovery of a normal fireball.

Oro’s command grab is reversal superable, so are the fireball supers at close range.

Yun’s dash punches I usually use c.lk x lp hayate, there may be a better option (maybe c.strong).

Necro FP hook I think you can do s.fpxex hayate. MP hook I think you might only be able to do c.lkxlp hayate.

This may not fit, but if you’re playing a scrubby yun or just somebody who does the 123 lp shoulder, then red parry and karakusa into rape-death whatever. I mention this because sometimes even good players do it if the tackle will get them the meter to start gj. Even if he activates he still gets grabbed and he just wastes his gj.

Red parrying the shoulder is REALLY easy, so I highly reccommend this if you expect this.

for the record, all of akuma’s hurricanes are at the very least superable. lk you can definitely combo him if you react fast enough.

fp hook u can punish with whatever you want, mp hook is completely safe.
